History

Since 2001, Glass Canvas has provided its clients with some of the most captivating CG images in the industry. Prior to setting up Glass Canvas, Managing Director Andrew Goodeve was involved at the cutting edge of visualisation at

Foster & Partners in the late 1990s where he worked on a range of prestigious international projects such as Chep Lap Kok Airport, The Reichstag, Berling, HSBC HQ, Wembley Stadium and The British Museum.

Creativity

Over the last decade 3D visualization has rapidly matured, and Glass Canvas has made the most of its potential, merging CG animation with storyboarding, photography, film, post production, music, script writing and editing to create uniquely innovative material.

Glass Canvas is home to a diverse collection of talents. Architects, graphic designers, product designers, musicians and fine artists make up our team, their individual skills coming together to provide clients with multifaceted and engaging short films.

Our studio is based in London, between Westminster and Victoria, and is equipped with high-end systems and software, including a real-time High Definition editing suite, 100 node render farm and music creation software.

Prickly Bay Waterside

Prickly Bay sits at the water’s edge of the Lance-aux-Epines peninsular in the fashionable southern end of Grenada, and is a groundbreaking development of luxury hi-tech houses and apartments. The work of Glass Canvas was instrumental in both its marketing and construction: during the design phase, our 3D visuals of architectural components were directly used to make prototypes, while a collection of our visuals and animation were used by Hamptons International to showcase this unique development worldwide.

Rochdale

At the initial briefing, our client was keen to demonstrate the depth of public consultation involved in the planning of this town centre development. In response, we created a storyboard that put local residents’ opinions at the heart of the scheme.

Once the storyboard had been approved, a camera crew was dispatched to Rochdale to capture the consensus on the street. After viewing a first draft, the client was keen to elaborate further on the physical nature of the site and how it would influence public movement.

Our solution was to film the architect explaining the benefits of the development. Then we added substance to his words by superimposing an animated site map onto the scene.
