Rett Syndrome Research Trust UK’s supporters are Facebook fanatics. But for the charity, which works towards the treatment and cure for this neurological disorder, the challenge was how to make this count.

It found that although it was very good at generating awareness through Facebook, it was less successful at turning that support into donations. Once supporters were directed away from Facebook, the momentum was lost and they were less likely to donate.
