Getting Started with the Curriculum
• Teacher Guides will be provided in print and electronic format
• Student materials-spiral bound – Grades 4 and 5 (books A-D) – Grades 6-8 (the original 12; science; social studies)

The Word Generation Website
• Log on to the Word Generation Website• wordgen.serpmedia.org (no www)– Site contains information pertaining to Word
Generation– Series 1, 2, 3 are middle school units
• Access the “one hub” workspace–Word Generation teacher coach workspace– Online community for Word Generation
District Support
• Earn up to 5 AU’s for teaching and supporting the Word Generation Program– Document the time you spend planning for Word
Generation, meeting with the coach, meeting with team about Word Generation, organizing materials/outside resources, providing feedback about the units
– Coach will collect AU logs in January and May– Complete a “Lessons Learned” Document
