Musical Things to Do in Denver, Colorado for Fall This fall season, there are many things to do in Denver, Colorado for music lovers. Individuals interested in seeing musical theater are in luck thanks to the “South Pacific” by Rodgers and Hammerstein. Meanwhile, a number of family friendly events ranging from the production of “The Bremen Town Musicians” to the culturally diverse 7th Annual Neustadt JAAMM Fest. Local residents of Denver and visitors alike can appreciate the cultural offerings in the realm of music thanks to the following events. Gates Concert Hall at University of Denver The Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver will host a variety of musical performances for the public throughout fall. Events include the Musicians of Silence aka the Mummenschanz at the Gates Concert Hall on November 8 at 7:30 pm. Also at the Gates Concert Hall there will be a concert with the world renowned violinist and violist Pinchas Zukerman. This event will take place on November 16 at 2:00 pm. Another rousing event taking place at the Gates Concert Hall will be the Beijing Dance/LDTX, held on November 18 at 7:30 pm. The Beijing Dance/LDTX “Thunder Rumbles Under Heaven” troupe is the first independent dance company to hail from China. 7th Annual Neustadt JAAMM Fest

From October 22 to November 19, 2014 the Neustadt Jewish Arts, Authors, Movies and Music

(JAAMM) Fest will take place at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center. Guests will enjoy a sweeping

experience dedicated to all things related to Jewish culture and art. In addition to music concerts

hosted by internationally acclaimed performers, the JAAMM Fest will feature a theatrical

production and author lectures.

The Bremen Town Musicians

For guests of all ages, “The Bremen Town Musicians” will provide family friendly entertainment.

The performers take on the tale of four animals who become a band of rowdy musicians. To be

held at the Lakewood Cultural Center on November 1, show time for this hour-long production

starts at 11:00 am.

South Pacific

Rodgers and Hammerstein’s military inspired musical, “South Pacific,” will be brought to life at

the Newman Center for the Performing Arts at University of Denver. The story line is set in the

tropical South Pacific during the end of World War II. Romance is blossoming among a pair of

couples including a Navy nurse and a Navy Airman along with a French plantation owner and

Polynesian girl. Songs to be featured include “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair”

and “Some Enchanted Evening.” The Lamont School of Music is presenting this show stopping

entertainment from October 30 to November 1 at various show times. Visit:
