Genetics and Society Thematic Issue: Acknowledgement of Reviewers Ó Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht 2013 Science & Education journal is noteworthy among education journals for having compe- tent reviewers from the disciplines of Education, Science, Philosophy of Science, History of Science and Psychology. Informed and competent reviewing is crucial to the integrity and quality of published scholarly work. It is a time-consuming, arduous and mostly anonymous and un-rewarded task, but publishers, editors, authors, readers, and the scholarly enterprise more generally, benefit and depend upon this labour. What is more important is that reviews do not only serve as means for making an editorial decision, but also for assisting the authors to further improve their work. As guest editors, we have provided comments to all authors of the articles included in this thematic issue. However, one cannot be an expert on everything and consequently the contribution of actual experts is always required in the review process.
