ABOUT SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT

REPAIR AND RENOVATION PROGRAMME:

OBJECTIVE

Purpose of the report is, justifying our proposal about existing sewage plant Overhauling, repair and

renovation

AIM

The ultimate goal of this program is

Renovate the STP and also establish a system for reuse the treated water.

Ensure the legal compliance of TNPCB Ensure cost effective solution, easy to operate and reduce the O & M Cost.

KEY DIAGRAM :

As per general waste water engineering practics ,waste water treatment

facility(Biological,Aerobic) shoud be design as per below

BACKGROUND

M/s. Gencor Auto Engg. Pvt.Ltd, Thirumudivakkam, Chennai-600 044 produced per day maximum

10 KL domestic waste water from their domestic activity.

Present system not suitable for treatment of domestic waste water.

Not able to comply the TNPCB requirements

REASONS:

Aeration system - blowers are not in working conditions. Present air capacity is not sufficient. High BOD inflow to the Aeration tank lankness of equalization facility Sedimentation activity is not proper and not provided flocculent chemical dosing system in the

installed systems.

Aeration efficiency is very poor and biological activity not happened due to, not installed attachedgrowth media.

PROPOSED TREATMENT STRATEGY:The proposed sewage treatment plant renovation program is designed for utilizing maximum

available facility and improve the treatment quality of the waste water( capacity of 10 KLD) through

the installation of Aeration recirculation pump, provide PVC bio pack media with chemical

coagulation system and improved Aeration system.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Improve the Aeration Efficiency Repaired or replace the excising blower and installed Aerationrecirculation pump and sufficient diffusers for nutrient removal (BOD).

Biological activity should be developed. - inoculate beneficial bacteriaProvide attached growth install Bio pack media of 3M3

Provide right chemical dosing with the help of dosing pumps Provide sludge recirculation system for BIOMASS (MLSS) development.
