• Is a set of curriculum modules designed for parents and their students to plan for transition to high school, eventual enrollment in college and career choice.
• Addresses the five GEAR UP Kentucky priority areas: Awareness, Rigor, Engagement, Access and Support.

Reaching Your Dreams
• Called Reaching Your Dreams, the curriculum uses as a springboard an episode of Chris Rock’s television show, Everybody Hates Chris, entitled “Everybody Hates the Guidance Counselor.”
• The episode raises issues of academic potential, future plans and parents’ aspirations with a large dose of humor.
