GE13: Twitterjaya abuzz after dissolution of Parliament By MICHELLE TAM and TASHNY SUKUMARAN PETALING JAYA: Tweeters had much to say ab out Wednesday's much-anticipated dissolution of Parliament, which makes way for Malaysia's 13th general election. A large volume of tweets with related hashtags such as #GE13, #Najib and #Parliament were trending, leading netizen Saiful Adilin to tweet: “Now every Malaysian in #GE13 mood”.  Many tweeters were sharing information, tips, or just plain celebrating. Incumbent Kota Belud MP, Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan tweeted, “Starting today, there is no need to call me YB. P ower has returned to the rakyat. Ma y Allah bless our country Malaysia, which we love. Amin”.  Many tweeters expressed excitement over being able to exercise their right to vote, such as @PremaKalimuthu who tweeted, "Finally , the announcement is done..no ruling till next #GE13..excited because it's going to b e my first time to vote..suspense." Others like host of Astro Supersport's Football Overload! Michelle Lee, tweeted: “Parliament dissolved. Still can't vote. Didn't turn 21 in time to register #GE13”. Artist-architect Hong Yi, noted for her un conventional works of art, tweeted: “The parliament has dissolved! Malaysia, let's make wise choices! #GE13”. Another tweeter, Aeefi Alghazali, urged netizens to “co me and fulfil our responsibility as rakyat Malaysia”. Self-  proclaimed Twitterjaya speaker', Aisehman, also reminded tweeters that, “It's important to realise you're not only choosing your Parliamentary and state representatives, you're choosing the next Government”, and added, “Never mind how other people vote. The only thing that matters is how you vote and why. Think of others b y all means but think for yourself.”  Tweeter @TypicalMsian also joked that the Malaysian 'word of the day' was 'bubar', Some tweeters were already looking towards the next big announcement the EC's special meeting, where it will decide on po lls and nomination dates. @nikicheong tweeted "So, now that we can't harass Najib to #b ubar, can we start harassing EC for dates? #GE13"

Others gave advice and shared their opinions on democracy. @bongkersz said "It is about getting

things done. BN has its ways of doing, PR has its ideas how it should be done. And you get to

decide which one you prefer."

"Members of parliament are people's rep. They are representing our voice in parliament.

Parliament dah bubar. It's the Rakyat's time to speak," said @amuse_gueule.
