Summary of the three Units:

• Unit 1: Construction Industry for the 21st Century – one externally set worth 40% - this unit covers occupations within the construction industry, candidates must also research the different types of buildings and construction methods used in Northern Ireland. The assessment also includes questions on energy conservation, renewable energy and sustainable development.

• Unit 2: Construction Craft Project – controlled assessment, internally assessed and externally moderated 30% weighting.

• Unit 3: Computer Aided Design in Construction – controlled assessment, internally assessed and externally moderated, 30% weighting.
