The top-pull-out construction allows access to the im- peller and mechanical seal without disturbing the suc- tion and discharge pipework. Suction and discharge flanges are arranged on a common centreline for easy installation into a pipeline. The single stage closed impeller, with double curvature vanes for optimum efficiency and good suction performance, is statically and dynamically balanced for vibration free operation. Electric motors Apex GC pumps are supplied with a TEFC IP55 electric motor. Alternative motors including Eexd flameproof motors are readily available. Materials The pump pressure containing parts are cast in a variety of materials, selected to suit the working pressure of the pump, and to be compatible with the liquid being handled.
