HDAX® 9200 LOW ASH GAS ENGINE OIL SAE 40

HDAX 9200 Low Ash Gas Engine Oil SAE 40 is a premium performance low ash, dispersancy and detergency type gas engine lubricant, offering robust component protection even under heavy loads, and is designed for use in natural gas applications.

HDAX 9200 Low Ash Gas Engine Oil SAE 40 is formulated with a premium base oil, offering extremely low sulphur, nitrogen and aromatic content, in combination with ashless dispersant and oxidation inhibitors, with a metallic detergent and anti-wear additive system. HDAX 9200 Low Ash Gas Engine Oil SAE 40 offers reliable corrosion resistance and good combustion chamber deposit protection. Good piston deposit control can help minimise ring sticking. HDAX 9200 Low Ash Gas Engine Oil SAE 40 oxidation and nitration resistance performance is designed to minimise viscosity increases in service.

HDAX 9200 Low Ash Gas Engine Oil SAE 40 is approved for MWM (Caterpillar Energy Solutions) Technical Circular 0199-99-2105 (up to 0.6% sulphated ash), GE Jenbacher TA 1000-1109, Fuel Class A for Type 3 (all versions), Type 4 (versions A, B & C) and Type 6 (all versions, including F, G, H) engines, as well as RMB/Energie natural gas engines. This product also holds preliminary approval MTL 5074 for Series 4000 engines and is recommended for use in Waukesha engines, Caterpillar 3516 E+ and 3516 TALE engines.

Field test performance

In field tests on a Caterpillar 3516 E Plus engine, running at 100% load for over 8,000 hours, results show that HDAX® 9200 Low Ash Gas Engine Oil SAE 40 has extended drain capability, helped protection at low oil consumption rate and helped to minimise deposits on high BMEP steel piston engines.

HDAX 9200 Low Ash Gas Engine Oil SAE 40 – Caterpillar 3516 E Plus engine: Improved TBN retention, low TAN increase

Total Base Number (TBN)TBN is formulated into the finished lubricant to counteract the by-products of combustion/acids. Formulators aim for a relatively slow TBN depletion rate, which is a function of a balanced additive package, base oil quality and formulation experience.

OxidationChemical process whereby Oxygen molecules combine with hydrocarbon molecules, accelerated by temperature, increasing molecule size and in turn viscosity, shortening oil life.

NitrationChemical process whereby heat, Oxygen and Nitrogen Oxides (NO2) contribute to viscosity increase, change in pH and sludge formation. Slowing Nitration improves oil life which is a function of the additive package, base oil quality and formulation experience.

• Advanced additive technologies aid reduced valve recession, combustion chamber deposits, pre-ignition and sparkplug fouling

• Flexibility in maintenance scheduling through improved oxidation and nitration resistance

• Aids piston cleanliness, varnish-free piston skirts and helps maintain resistance to ring sticking

• Formulated to promote sludge reduction and keep-clean performance in the crankcase, valve rocker cover and top deck areas

• Low phosphorous formulation assists compatibility with non selective catalytic reduction (NSCR) emission reduction systems.

GAS ENGINE OILS FOR LANDFILL AND BIOGAS APPLICATIONS

HDAX® 6500 LFG GAS ENGINE OIL SAE 40

HDAX 6500 LFG is a premium performance low ash dispersant/detergent type SAE 40 gas engine oil, specifically designed for landfill gas, biogas digester gas and sour gas applications.

HDAX 6500 LFG is formulated with premium quality base oils with very low sulphur, nitrogen and aromatic content, and contains ashless dispersancy and oxidation inhibitor additive technologies, with an advanced metallic detergent and anti-wear package.

HDAX 6500 LFG promotes reliable corrosion protection, without increasing combustion chamber deposits and aids piston deposit control, offering minimal ring sticking and providing scuffing protection to the cylinder liners, helping minimise oil consumption and lacquering.

Through reliable oxidation and nitration resistance, HDAX 6500 LFG offers a minimal viscosity increase.

Customer benefits:

• Helps provide valve recession control, low deposit formation and minimises pre-ignition in four stroke engines running on harsh fuels

• Low phosphorus formulation offers catalyst protection

• Offers extended drain performance with strong base retention, oxidation and nitration resistance characteristics, through a combination of premium base fluids and a robust inhibitor package

HDAX 6500 LFG Gas Engine Oil SAE 40 is approved for Cummins QSV91 Landfill Gas Engine, GE Jenbacher TA 1000-1109 Fuel Class B (biogas, sewage gas) and Class C (landfill gas) for the following engine types and versions (without oxidation catalytic converter): Type 2 & 3 versions B & C, Type 4 versions A & B and Type 6 versions C & E, as well as MAN (Truck & Bus) M 3271-4 (Special gas) gas engine oil for stationary engines, MWM (Caterpillar Energy Solutions) ‘Technical Circular TR 2105 (< 0.6 % sulphated ash)’ and TEDOM 61-0-0281.1 Fuel types L (landfill), B (biogas) and S (sewage gas). This product is additionally suitable for Caterpillar and Waukesha four-cycle engines burning landfill or biogas.

Field test performance

In a 6,000 hour field test in a GE Jenbacher type 4 landfill site gas engine run at 1,500 rpm, HDAX® 6500 LFG Gas Engine Oil SAE 40 demonstrated an average oil drain interval of 1,200 hours.

COOLANT/ANTIFREEZEOur range of engine coolants/thermal management fluids are based on Organic Additives Technology (OAT), which we have pioneered since 1990, and cover a long list of applications.

The additives used in Chevron products provide an extended life for engine coolant because they are resistant to high temperatures and are not consumed during service even while providing corrosion protection.

HDAX® ELC PREMIXED 50/50 COOLANT/ANTIFREEZE PHOSPHATE FREE

HDAX ELC Premixed 50/50 is a high performance extended life coolant designed to offer optimum heat transfer performance and long-life protection to stationary gas engine coolant systems.

• Silicate-free formula offers next-level heat transfer when compared to traditional and silicate based stationary gas engine coolants

• Phosphate-free formulation helps reduce the occurrence of hard water and phosphate scale on liners, hoses and radiators

• Offers up to 32,000 hours of stationary engine coolant life when following OEM coolant maintenance recommendations

• Offers long-life pump seal protection and high temperature corrosion resistance in common cooling system metals, including aluminium

• Designed for low maintenance operation in remote locations, or where high equipment mobility makes coolant maintenance sporadic.

HAVOLINE® XTENDED LIFE COOLANT CONCENTRATE/PREDILUTED

Havoline Xtended Life Coolant is a high performance long-life coolant, formulated to help protect engines from freezing and boiling while offering advanced cooling system corrosion protection, including high temperature corrosion resistance in modern aluminium engines.

• Advanced non-depleting corrosion inhibitor technology offers extended low maintenance service life and system uptime

• Promotes reliability and corrosion protection in thermostats, radiators, water pumps and other vulnerable cooling system components

• High performance silicate- and phosphate-free formulation contributes to reliable hard water stability

ELECTRIC MOTOR BEARING GREASES

SRI GREASE 2

SRI Grease is a high performance high temperature roller and ball bearing grease suitable for use in severe applications such as field operations, where electric motors require robust protection from oxidation, rust and corrosion.

Customer benefits:

• Offers protection to ball, needle and roller bearings operating at speeds in the region of 10,000 rpm

• Promotes wide temperature bearing protection at operating temperatures ranging from -29°C to +177°C

• Contributes to reliable oxidation resistance at operating temperatures in the range of +93°C to +177°C

• Aids reliable rust protection as defined by ASTM D1743-73 with 5% Synthetic Sea Water

• Contributes ‘Life Pack’ lubricant performance where protection against moisture and road-splash is required.
