Swimming Carnival On Monday 17th February we had to cut our swimming carnival short due to stormy weather which meant we had to send our children back to school before we could complete all races. Before the stormy weather came we were able to hold a few races and during this time we saw nothing but amazing sportsmanship and support from all students at GSPS. Congratulations to the 25 students who qualified to swim at Zone. Students who swam and placed in the 25m Freestyle age races were celebrated at the pool and received their ribbons on the day. All other race ribbons will be handed out at an upcoming swimming carnival assembly. Thank you to all the parents who were able to come and cheers on our students.

Zone Swimming Carnival The Crossroads PSSA Zone Swimming Carnival was held Thursday 20th February, at Speers Point Pool complex. Garden Suburb PS was represented by 25 students who all represented our school with pride and enthusiasm. We had a fantastic day with lots of great swimming and lots of success. I was very impressed with the behaviour of the students at the Swimming Carnival. It was such a pleasure to see the students cheering on each other and showing great sportsmanship. Congratulations to Eric, Hayden, Campbell and Toby who are all heading off to represent our zone at the Regional Swimming Carnival in March. Special congratulations to Hayden for being awarded the 11 Years Boy Champion. All of our students put in a mighty fine effort and gave it their all.
