Ganesh Polytex Ltd. (GPL) was incorporated as a Public Limited company in the year 1988 in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India. The paid up share capital of the company is around 3 Million US$.

The company is having two production units. One at Raipur, Rania, Kanpur Dehat (U.P) which is on the main highway, Kanpur-Jhansi Road and well connected by rail, road and air. This is around 415 Kms away from New Delhi.

Second unit ,where the company is doing major expansions, is located at Rudrapur (Uttarakhand) a newly developed Industrial zone in a notified backward area developed by Govt. of India with a view to accelerate the Industrial growth in the State of Uttarakhand. This unit is entitled for exemption from Central Excise and Income Tax for a period of 10 years. This unit is also well connected by Rail and Road. This is around 250 Kms away from New Delhi.

The foundation of the group was laid by Mr. Shyam Sunder Sharma, Chairman cum Managing Director, a visionary known as much for his perspicacity and sharp business acumen as for his philanthropic pursuits. He is a textile technocrat having vast experience of around 4 decades in Textile Industry. He is ably supported by the other members of The Board of Directors which consists professionals from various disciplines.

The first unit at Kanpur started commercial production in August, 1989 to produce Dyed Texturised and Fancy dyed yarns.

The company went into diversification in the year 1994 to produce Regenerated Polyester Staple Fiber in India. This was the first venture of its type in India to produce PSF from polyester waste and PET bottle flakes.

In the year 2006, the second unit at Rudrapur (Uttarakhand) was set up with a production capacity of 6000 mt. per annum which was subsequently increased by installing three more lines.

The total capacity of the Kanpur & Rudrapur plant is 4800 mt. per month or 57600 mt. per annum.

At present, GPL enjoys the honour of the biggest recycling company in Indian Sub-continent.

GPL has a dedicated team of well qualified and experienced technical and commercial staff who are working altogether to ensure/adhere stringent quality norms.

About Us:

Page 3: Ganesh Polytex Profile 1806 2010 · S-758-C, Road No. 9-F-1, V.K.I. Area, Jaipur, Rajasthan – India GPL GANESH POLGANESH POLYTEX LIMITEDYTEX LIMITED GPL D e s i g n e d & P r i

Chairman's Message

GPL is a dedicated Waste Management Company engaged in the recycling of Pet waste since last 15 years.

Starting with a small capacity of 6000 mt. per annum, GPL today, with a capacity of 57600 mt. per annum is the largest player in the RPSF industry across the country and further the export of its diverse product range to more than 30 countries across the world has led to the establishment of its standing in the global market.

The use of Plastics (PET) has increased multifold in the last 2 decades due to its various positive properties like light weight, durability and easy handling etc, providing a user friendly packaging solution for various kinds of liquid products . However, it takes around 5000 years for a PET bottle to decompose and only 10%(apx.) of all PET bottles are recycled. Being non bio-degradable in nature, pilling of it poses a serious threat to the ecological balance. Hence, converting Pet bottle waste into eco-friendly recycled Polyester staple fiber(green fiber) is one of the best ways towards waste management.

Interestingly, Polyester fiber manufactured by using PET bottle flakes as raw material, consumes approx 80% less energy and 40% less water and emits 70% less Co than the production from 2

Petroleum.

We are committed to become a Company that grows along with the global community, by providing an eco-friendly superb product to our world-wide customers. We, at GPL, believe that the Company, its management and employees, its customers and other stakeholders, all belong to the same “Family-Tree” whose interests are to be advanced collectively in a mutually beneficial manner.

We, as a global responsible corporate citizen, have committed ourselves to recycle every Pet bottle, which is thrown into waste, to save the environment for future generations as well as contribute to sustainable development while creating wealth for all the stakeholders.

With warm regards

Place: Delhi ( India )

Shyam Sunder Sharma

We have a number of fibers available for filling pillows, duvets, quilts, toys, and many other products. Several finishes are available such as Non silicone, silicon or slick (FR) (BS5852 part II compliant), to give the product a nice touch / feeling.

The fibers are produced from recycled PET bottles.

Applications

NEEDLE-PUNCHED NONWOWENA wide range of different fibers are available for needle-punching. A solid polyester in the range of 1.5 - 60 den is often used.

Depending on process and final application, we can adjust key parameters of the fiber to meet customer requi rements . The parameters are cut length, crimp (CPI), elongation, tenacity, heat shrinkage, and finish type. The fibers are produced from recycled PET bottles.

WADDING

A polyester f iber blended with a bico low melt, or chemical b o n d , i s u s e d t o p roduce h igh l o f t wadding.

The fiber used is normally a solid fiber. Depending on final application, some other fibers may be recommended such as, h o l l o w o r h o l l o w conjugated. Finish type is very important as well. W e b a s e o u r recommendations on the final product and its end use.

Wet laid non-woven fibers are made by a modified paper making process in which the fibers to be used are suspended in water. A major objective of wet-laid non-woven manufacturing is to produce structures with textile-fabric characteristics, primarily flexibility and strength, at speeds approaching those associated with paper making. Specialized paper machines are used to separate the water from the fibers to form a uniform sheet of material.

The polyester fibers available from us are uncrimped straight fibers with a hydrophilic finish from 1.5 – 10 denier.
