community and do our utmost to give a joyous Christmas to those of making a huge

difference to families in our local area a reputation we hold dearly. Once again this year we are supporting the St Vincent De Paul Christmas Appeal. Baskets have been delivered to all Homerooms this week. We ask for donations of Christmas food and gifts for the children. Maybe you would like to donate trimmings to make the baskets festive or something to dress the Christmas table. Please support this very worthwhile cause and give generously. Mrs Jane Pitt, SRC Coordinator Gifted and Talented In the next week, all Year 7 students will be administered a MYAT (Middle Years Ability) test. This will provide another tool for the identification of students who are capable of working at a high academic level. It is anticipated that students who have shown consistently high levels of ability and skill in a range of academic areas in their NAPLAN, MYAT and school subject results will be able to be enriched in their learning next year through withdrawal into the APE course. The course will provide an opportunity for students to engage in enrichment and extension work which supports their learning across other key learning areas in the school. Student results will be evaluated and parents and students informed in the coming weeks of their suitability for the APE course in Year 8, 2014. Mrs Danielle Oliver 9>?@7%64A7?56%6A115B%(AC%B3((@5%How would you like to win a 2-seater kayak valued at $1000?
