  • Theory of Knowledge is an interdisciplinary requirement intended to stimulate critical reflection on the knowledge and experience gained inside and outside the classroom.

    TOKCAS aims to instill in students a habit for holistic development, not only of the self but also of others:

    Creative: Arts, and other experiences that involve creative thinking.

    Action: Physical exertion contributing to a healthy lifestyle.

    Service: An unpaid and voluntary exchange for underprivileged communities.

    CASThe Extended Essay is a 4,000 word research paper that acquaints students with the kind of independent research and writing skills expected by universities.

  • Modular Chi/Fil & CLEXS Required Subjects

    These subjects are designed as learning modules and taught once per semester for 2 years.

    NOTE: Both assess learning annually and therefore, provide grades in IBDP Grade 11 & Grade 12.

    Both use the XS IBDP grading system and employ the XS IBDP teaching, learning and assessment strategies.

  • The IB subjects, except for Math Studies & Sports Science, may be studied at Higher or Standard Level.

    Diploma candidates must study at least three (3) but not more than four of the six subjects at Higher Level.

  • At least 150 hours of instruction time over 2 years.

    SL and HL courses consist of the same educational aims, core syllabus and curriculum and assessment models

    At least 240 hours of instruction time over 2 years.

    however, HL courses typically also include a range of additional elements designed to allow students to explore areas of interest within the subject in more depth.

  • Conditions for IB DiplomaDiploma Results

    A. At least 12 points have been gained on the 3 higher level courses.

    At least 9 points have been gained on the 3 standard level courses.

    B. A grade of at least a D in TOK or EE. If a student receives an E in either EE or TOK, he is disqualified from the diploma.

    C. Not proven guilty of any academic dishonesty/malpractice.

    D. An approved CAS program has been completed.
