Komati Power Station - QA/QC Supervisor - 1st May 2006 Responsibilities:

Monitoring Welder performance and conducting visual inspections of welds and repairs of welds in accordance with company procedures and international codes of practice.

Check, inspect and test incoming welding materials. Interviewing and selecting welders and verifying qualifications of welders for project requirements. Coordinating with clients to undertake procedure qualification test and inspections of prepared test

specimens and witness destructive tests. Identifying and preparing welding procedure specification (WPS) & PQR for jobs as per project

specifications. Providing verification of electrodes baking and holding temperature including control and issue.

Undertaking workshop verification of welding machine and electrode baking and storage, to ensure equipment meets job requirement specifications. Providing technical guidance for welding sequence and distortion control.

Conducting fit up and dimension inspections as per inspection and test plan (I&TP) and review radiography test films.
