would like to see around the school and make everyone feel heard.

Kayla Baldwin 12th Grade Class of 2020 President I am currently a Senior, Class of 2020 and serve as PSAC President. Outside of PSAC, I am the Co-Captain of the Varsity Basketball team, National Honor Society member, School Social Media Manager and have also been apart of the Swim team. My schoolmates know me to be very involved on the social scene at school. Notably being crowned Princess at least years’ Homecoming. I have been apart of PSAC since my freshman year and

seen the council develop a lot. My favorite event I’ve been a part of coordinating was last year where council members talked to local elementary students about how they can start planning for their future now, because you are never too young! I love serving on the committee because I love finding new ways to keep Brooks students engaged, because everyone knows school can sometimes be a little draining. I’m proud to serve as President and the new changes that have taken place throughout this school year thus far because of PSAC!

Javonna Fowler 12th Grade Class of 2020 First year member In one word, I am a visionary. As an aspiring doctor, education is of the utmost importance. In just four years of being an eagle I have established an immense collection of accolades for my academic credentials. Currently, I am the Vice President of the Class of 2020 and founder of the 2020 Class Congress. Due to my dedication to community service, I even served as the 2017-2018 Civics Class President. All the while, I’ve remained exceedingly active in extra curriculars; I am a

member of the National Honors Society, God’s Ambassadors at School, Student Celebrations Committee, PSAC, Student Ambassadors, and Prom Committee. With a strong desire to succeed, I put my all into everything that I do. That’s just the trend here at Brooks!

Kemarion Bryant 10th grade Class of 2022 First year member I’ll label myself as a confident, responsible, tenacious leader who’s always striving to go above and beyond knowing it's always room for growth and improvement. As a student at Brooks, I was once apart of the step team and student ambassadors, a current member of P.S.A.C and soon to be apart of the boys volleyball team. While being apart of P.S.A.C, I have been able to express my thoughts, opinions and creativity along with others members to ensure that our school is the best that it can

be.

Akili K. London 11th grade Class of 2021 First year member I am a pillar to my community, family, and friends that values the importance of self-worth and self care. While a student at Brooks, I am a member of multiple clubs and sports teams including, Student Ambassadors, P.S.A.C., Swim team, and Waterpolo. In addition to these extracurriculars, I strive daily for academic excellence with hopes to pursue a career in medicine and attending Xavier University of Louisiana. I have a love for learning which makes me such an asset to others. As a first year

representative of P.S.A.C, I have found that hard work and commitment are true qualities for successfully organizing school events. P.S.A.C. has shown me that I love being a part of a collective that brings peace and unity. Through my attitude, actions and love for others, I show value and authenticity in everything I complete.

Ariel Shorter 10th Grade Class of 2020 First year member I am someone who identifies as a well-respectful, responsible, and loving person. I’ve dedicated my life to helping out my community and making others around me happy. Being apart of PSAC and the greater Brooks community was one of the best things I could have possibly done. Being in PSAC allows me to collectively represent my fellow peers and be a voice for those who may be overlooked. In addition, I am a part of the first cohort of Schuler Scholars at Brooks with the mission of

sending underrepresented, and first-generation students to highly-selective universities and colleges.

Skylah Saffold 11th Grade Class of 2021 Third year member With my determined mindset, I can unite people around a vision and motivate a team to excellence with a pragmatic approach to ideas and situations. Overall I would identify myself as a leader and influencer in addition to an active Brooks student in the school contributing my assets to various extra curricular and clubs including volleyball, Principal Student Advisory Council, G.A.S Club, Global Glimpse Alumni Ambassador, and Student Ambassadors First Assistant. I

am invested in promoting others. While being a participant in these clubs, I have developed a deeper passion for understanding diverse perspectives to make the high school career a great experience for everyone.

Antoine Westbrook 11th Grade Class of 2021 Third Year Member When others look at me I would hope I’m seen as an active, encouraging, and motivational student who inspires others to be the best version of themselves. In school I serve as President of G.A.S. Club (God’s Ambassadors at School), an active member of our Principal Student Advisory Council and Student Ambassadors, a State Ranked Mid-Distance Runner/School Record Holder in Track & Field, an A+ Student in my school, and a part time worker. In spite of all my extracurriculars and leadership roles within my

class, my main goal is to serve and aid others in my school to ensure that we all reach our best potential. I consider myself to be a person who always wants others’ voices to be heard who may not have the platform to express themselves which has enabled me to take part in so many in and out of school activities to do so. This is why being a member of PSAC and serving alongside my classmates and principal is such a great opportunity for me to be a voice for so many others!

of school I have grown not only as a student at Brooks but also a young adult ready to change the world around me.

Felicity Wheatley 12th grade Class of 2020 First year member I am a senior at Brooks and being a member of PSAC gives me another creative outlet. all of my extra curricular activities and stay on track in school. I’m focusing on life as much as possible and staying on a path to success.

Zuriyah Smith 10th grade Class of 2022 First year member I am in love with participating and always being the helping hand. As a part of some of the most relied on clubs such as PSAC and Students Ambassadors, the stress is never low. I use this to encourage my fellow students and never give up no matter the challenges. I value learning new things, increasing my learning process, and being a leader to my peers. Being successful, making and creating change, and being an activist for the things I’m

passionate about is the ultimate goal.

Nevaeh Clark 12th Grade 1st Year Member As an active member in my Brooks community, being able to communicate the student voice is essential to my success as a member of the Principal Student Advisory Council. Being apart of this group has strengthened my sense of unity, team work, and has allowed for me to connect with others among the student body. It makes for an experience I recommend for any and everybody that has the chance to join such a group.
