Further thoughts on the Messiah's final week...

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the

prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood,

and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many

for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for

the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that

determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

    (Daniel 9:26-27)

First, I had noted earlier that Christ confirmed the covenant with many for one week. I noted that twelve

was the number of the covenant and that seven is the number of the week.

Interestingly, I could have derived these numbers from the week of Christ itself.

On the 1863 chart we see something like this,

    3 3 27 34

representing that Christ was "cut off" 3 1/2 years after his baptism and 3 1/2 years prior to the close of

    probation for the Jewish nation.

3 1/2 years is, according to Revelation 13:5, 42 months. That is, the entire week is 84 months or 12 (the

number of the covenant) times 7 (the number of the week).

I had noticed this number earlier, in that it is the number of years that extend the 2520 for northern

Israel from the revelation of the prophecy of Isaiah 7:8 to it being hidden on the 1863 chart. That is,

    742 BC 723 BC 1798 1863

    19 2520 65

    or Judah's 2520.

    742 BC 677 BC 1844 1863

    65 2520 19

    Either way it is 19 + 65 = 84.

    The whole period, then, from 742 BC to 1863 AD is 19 + 65 + 2520 or 2604 years.

Earlier, I found a formula, or pattern that each of the prophetic periods, and their divisions, follow. That

    pattern is,

49 (the number of the Jubilee) x a smaller portion of the prophecy = the entire length of the prophecy,

    that is,

    49 x (?) = (period)

We see this with the 70 weeks prophecy itself.

The 70 weeks is first divided into two periods of "seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks" or 49

years and 434 (62 weeks), with a final period of one week at the end.

By taking the last week of the prophecy, we often think of it this way,

    70 x 7 = 490 years.

But by dividing it from the first portion (the Jubilee) we also can see it this way,

    490 / 10 = 49 (the smallest division)

    or

    49 x 10 = 490.

We can do the same with the 2300 days.

The 2300 days has a 46 year period appended at its end from 1798 to 1844.

    49 x 46 = 2254 + 46 = 2300

We have added our original multiplier (46 years) at the end to make it 2300 years. This means that the

period from 1798 to 1844 is the 50th cycle of 46, just as we have the 50th year at the end of the 49

years of the Jubilee cycle. [For more on the Jubilee read Leviticus 25]

This same pattern applies to the span from 34 AD (the end of the 70 weeks) to the end of the 1260 years

of papal persecution (1798). That period is 1764 years.

[From 34 AD to 538 is 504 years. We add this to the 1260 years to get 1764 years.]

In our formula [49 x (?) = 1764] what is our divisor or smallest period?

In Daniel 8:23-25, we find that the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans marks the end of ancient

Israel. This occurred in 70 AD or 36 years after the close of the 70 weeks. If we put 36 into our formula

we have a correct answer to the equation.

    49 x 36 = 1764

[We would also find that 1764 can be divided by 84 (12 x 7) 21 times, that is,

    84 x 21 = 1764 or 12 x 7 x 7 x 3 = 1764]

Some of you may want to give your mind a rest but we can go on.

THE MOST REMARKABLE PART IS NEXT!!!

Remember, some time ago is seems, that the entire period of the 2520 prophecy is 2604 years from its

proclamation to its hiding, that is,

  • 8/12/2019 Further Thoughts on the Messiah

    3/4

    742 BC to 1863 AD is 2604 years (the 2520 plus 84 (19 + 65).

The year of Christ's crucifixion, which occurred in the middle of the week of 84 months (42 months on

either side) and confirmed the covenant (12) with many for one week (7) is 31 AD. If we divide the

    whole period from 742 BC to 1863 AD (2604 years by 31, we get 84 or 12 x 7.

    12 x 7 x 31 = 2604

The number of the covenant times the week in which it was confirmed multiplied by the year in which it

occurred is equal to the entire period from the proclamation for when the "seven" of Leviticus 26 would

commence to when it would be hidden.

That is, Christ being crucified in the midst of the week confirms the covenant that was broken. It, also,

"seals up (closes up, hides) vision (Hebrew, chazon) and prophecy. The year of his crucifixion is not

    coincidental.

Of course, this could not have been discerned until this was all unsealed. The unsealing is the result of

prophetic fulfilment. As the prophecies are being fulfilled, light shines forth.

It is my deep and earnest prayer that all who desire to will embrace that light. search the Scriptures for

there are many hidden treasures. These we comfort the burdened, enlighten the eyes and strengthen

the weary soul. Look into these things carefully and prayerfully.

    In Love and Hope

    Theodore James Turner.

[A final note regarding Millers prophecy of the Great Jubilee or 2450,

    677 BC 607 BC 1844

    70 2450

The 2450 is not a prophecy, as such, but a division of the 2520 for Judah. Miller noticed that from

Daniel's captivity in 607 BC [of which Manassehs captivity, 70 years earlier in 677 BC, was an earnest

(type)] to 1844 was 2450 years. Simply put, it is 50 Jubilees or a Jubilee of Jubilees. This pattern can be

derived from the formula (which is derived from the 70 week prophecy itself) 49 x (?) = (period). The

Great Jubilee can be expressed in the same formula, or pattern, as the 2300 days.

    49 x 46 + 46 = 2300

    49 x 49 + 49 = 2450

This shows that the above formula is consistent with the ideas of Miller. Both are derived from a pattern

found in the Scriptures themselves. The 2450, then, is an observation, just as we notice that there are 49

    x 36 years between 34 AD and 1798.]

[A final final note. 2520 is 36 divisions of 70 years. While the period of persecution for the Christian

    Church is 36 x 49 years (1764).

    4/4

All of the periods follow a pattern.

    70 x 36 = 2520

    49 x 46 + 46 = 2300 days

    49 x 10 = 70 weeks

    49 x 36 = 1764 years of christian persecution

Even the 1260 year prophecy is prefaced by 30 years (508 to 538) that gives the pattern for its length.

    30 x 42 =1260

    21 x 5 x 12 =1260

    35 x 3 x 12 = 1260 = 35 x 36

    The 2450 is 35 x 70 years, while the 2520 is 36 x 70 years.

The whole period of Christian persecution is,

    36 x 49 = 1764

The entire period (pagan and papal) of chastisement is,

    36 x 70 = 2520 years

The entire period of papal persecution is,

    36 x 35 years = 2450 years

The period of Christian persecution under paganism (34 AD to 538) is,

    36 x 14 years = 504 years or 36 x (7 + 7) years, also,

    6 x 6 x (7 + 7) = (36 x 7) + (36 x 7) = 252(0) + 252(0)

While, the period of papal persecution is 252(0) x 5 = 1260 years

The pagan persecution of Christians is 1/5 of 2520

    2520 / 5 = 504.

    And it goes on....]
