Install the Air Duct

Preparing the Chassis

Read normal ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures.

Place your TYAN® Server Chassis on a flat anti-static surface to perform the following integration procedures. Read ESD procedures before reaching inside to install components.

Open the Chassis

1 Use the guide pin to align and install the air duct into the chassis. 2 Secure the air duct to the chassis with the screws.

Installing the Add-On card (Optional)

1 2 3Unlock the clips. Insert the memory module. Lock the clips.

Install 2.5” Hard Disks

1 Unscrew the two PCIE brackets and remove them fromtheir slots.

2 Align and install the GPU bracket to the GPU card. Then secure the GPU bracket to the GPU card with the three screws.

3 Connect the GPU assembly into the PCIE Gen. 3 slot on the motherboard. Secure the GPU card to the chassis with the two screws on the rear and with a thumb screw towards the front of the system.

4 Connect one end of the power cable to the power connectoron the GPU card and the other end of the cable to the connector on power distribution board (PDB).

4 I/O Ports

Loosen the two thumb screws and remove the two screws from the top rear cover.

2 Slide the back top cover and remove.

3 Remove the two screws from the top front cover.

4 Release the latch and remove the front top cover from the chassis.
