Troubleshooting

Use Microsoft Excel 2007 for Microsoft Windows to open the worksheet, which contains instructions for use. During testing, the worksheet did not function correctly when opened in versions of Microsoft Excel for Apple Mac OS X.

When the worksheet opens in Microsoft Excel 2007, the program will prompt you to temporarily enable macros to run. The message says, “Security Warning — Some active content has been disabled.” Click the adjacent “Options” box, then click the “Enable this content” button. The Microsoft Excel help menu provides more information about macros and computer security.

In the worksheet, the messages "Select one" and "Error" will appear until you have made all of the required selections according to the instructions. To instantly reset all factors for a new operational scenario, use the "Clear All Values Selected" button at the bottom of the first tab (CFIT Checklist).

To create multiple "What if?" operational scenarios, create separate folders and then copy the worksheet to these folders (that is, keep the original worksheet file name, "FSF CFIT Checklist Worksheet.xls") before saving the different versions. Do not change the file name of the worksheet.
