FROSCO BIOMATIC GREASE INTERCEPTOR (Dual Chamber, C/W Sediment Trap)
FROSCO Biomatic Grease Interceptor is specially designed to intercept both the FOG (fat, grease and oil) and the starch residue and solid waste.
The Sediment trap compartment will filter and trap solid waste food and allow greasy water to continue to enter into grease interceptor compartment.
In the effort to achieve higher % of grease interception, the design of grease interceptor is crucial. Basically, the performance (% of grease removal) is affected by :
• Hydraulic Retention Time of waste water in the interceptor. • The control over the turbulence of incoming waste water. • The direction and pattern of water flow in interceptor (internal design of interceptor).
Frosco Biomatic Grease Interceptor is complete with proper hydrafilter baffle assembly and integral trap for the above mentioned functions. Frosco Biomatic Grease Interception achieves > 99% grease removal. (SIRIM Test Ref. No. 237/12/1).

The following notes and calculation provide a basis for approximately determining size / type of Frosco Grease Interceptor :
1. All ‘Sources’ of grease contaminated water / fluids should be included. ‘Wash-up’ sinks & dishwaters are the main source of greasy water. Calculations of volume of discharge from each of these sources establishes the size of grease interceptor. The gross or total volume discharge is the sum of the discharge of the equipment’s being emptied /flushed simultaneously after taking into account simultaneous flush diversity factor.
2. Estimate the Flowrate in litre / second for the gross total litres. 3. The size / type of Frosco Grease Interceptor is that with the next HIGHER litres per second rating. 4. Should it be necessary to evaluate the size / type based on actual equipment usage. It is necessary to
calculate liquid volume processed by each piece of equipment.

Frosco FES 168 Sediment Interceptor is designed to act as an effective strainer and intercept foreign solid matter from entering drain lines. The provision of a perforated stainless steel sediment bucket makes the maintenance work much easier. The installation of Frosco 168 Sediment Interceptor therefore protects the waste lines against clogging.

One Frosco sediment interceptor FES 168 is installed for each hawker stall, while a centralized automatic biomatic grease interceptor is installed for each row of stalls.
The grease interceptor should be installed within the length of 10 meter from the washing sinks to avoid the built-up of grease along the pipe before the interceptor. However if the piping length exceed 10 meters and the grease interceptor to be installed far away from the washing sinks then the sediment trap is required below each sinks to collect the solid waste. In this case dosing of extra enzyme into the pipe line may require.

Froscozyme Amnite L100
Froscozyme biomatic liquid enzyme is the environmental friendly answer to the disposal of grease deposits in Frosco biomatic grease interceptor. Froscozyme biomatic liquid enzyme is a non-toxic, non-corrosive and non-volatile mixture, it is simple and safe to use.
Biomatic enzyme can produce certain reactions such as fat splitting, protein and carbohydrate decomposition. However their supply is limited and therefore they do not perform the digestive process quickly enough to make for efficient grease disposal.
Froscozyme biomatic liquid enzyme is a booster enzyme catalyst, it contains viable organisms, enzymes and food supplements. Froscozyme will speed up the digestive process and enhance the efficiency of grease disposal. It will also eliminate or reduces offensive odours and greatly reduces the frequency of manual cleaning.
Froscozyme biomatic liquid enzyme will help a waste treatment system to reach it’s optimal level of treatment efficiency and thus help the system to eliminate BOD and COD as rapidly as possible from a waste water flow. This product will help liquify solids and re-establish beneficial microflora in a biological waste treatment system.
Froscozyme biomatic liquid enzyme decomposes and permanently converts grease and protein matter to water soluble substances.

Dosage and daily meal cover rates are for guidance only. Different foods vary grease content discharge into the Biomatic Interceptor. Physical observation of grease interceptor content and increasing or decreasing enzyme dosages, establishes actual dosage level.
Health and Safety
FROSCO Biomatic Liquid Enzyme concentrate is safe in normal use. The biologically active nature of the product can cause skin irritation in some cases. It is essential that rubber gloves are worn at all times. Skin Contact - Should the concentrate come in contact with the skin wash clean with plenty of clear water. Eye Contact - If the concentrate splashes into the eye or is rubbed in by the hand, flush the eye with plenty of
clean running water. Ingestion - Avoid ingesting the concentrate but should an accident occur, wash out the mouth thoroughly with
water. Do not induce vomiting. Take plenty of water or milk to drink. Consult medical advice immediately after the initial treatment has been given.
Biomatic liquid enzyme concentrate is manufacturing from non-pathogenic bacterial cultures. This product should be stored, handled and used in accordance with good industrial hygiene practices. The information contained herein is based on the present state of our knowledge and is intended to describe all products from the point of view of health and safety requirements. It should not therefore be construed as guaranteeing specific properties.
Incompatible Substances Do not use the product in connection with biocides or germicides.
Storage Store in closed plastic or stainless steel containers in a cool place. Do not subject to extremes of heat and cold. Keep out of direct sunlight.

FV 5000 Operating Manual 1) To set the dosing time by programming the ‘Timer’. 2) To set the duration of each dosing according to the enzyme quantity required ( 30ml/minute ).
( See table for amount required for each dose, for each size/model of Grease Interceptor ). 3) To set the current time. 4) To ensure the power supply is always ‘ON’. (Check bulb light on ). 5) Supply voltage : 3 Amp ( fuse rating ). 6) To replenish the enzyme as soon as it is finishing to ensure continuous supply of enzyme into the

Note : Frosco automatic dosing unit is highly recommended to be installed in conjuction with Frosco Biomatic Grease Interceptor. Automatic dosing pump will ensure the dosing of Froscoenzyme Biomatic liquid enzyme at regular intervals consistently. This enhance the efficiency of the operation and significantly redusing the build-up of grease and frequency of cleaning.
The unit is delivered pre-set accordingly to the Frosco Biomatic Grease Interceptor model and code number, and to dose with the recommended quantity of Froscozyme Biomatic liquid enzyme. The pre-set doses can be varied on site to suit other application. The dosing rate is pre-programmed at a pump rate 30ml/minute.

SPECIFICATION The Frosco Automatic Doser shall be complete with 1.7m of electrical cable and 3m of polythene supply tube. Electrical motor voltage 220-240 volts, 50Hz, single phase, power 4 watts, 13 amp maximum rated fuse and 5 days power reserve standby battery time switch.
No Back Flow Or Syphoning
How A Peristaltic Pump Operates. Peristaltic (wave of automatic contractions propelling contents along channel or tube) hence peristaltic action. By mechanical simulation of biological peristalsis roller squeeze tube walls together to form a seal as roller moves along the tube, then the previously compressed tube regains original form and sucks fluid or gas into the formed vacuum. This is the self-priming function.
The fluid/gas will follow the roller until the tube no longer compressed. By now a second roller is compressing the tube preventing flow-back, pushing the initial dose of fluid/gas out of the pump and repeating the suction effect. As the pump continues to operate the rollers mounted in special rotors create suction lift and outlet pressure.

As the water containing air, grease and food particles enters the inlet of the interceptor at high velocity, it is directed downwards by the main deflecting baffles, at the same time allowing the trapped air bubbles to rise to the surface. The overall effect of which is to reduce the velocity and turbulence of the incoming liquid.
Turbulence of the liquid is still further reduced by passing through and over the remaining hydrafilter baffles. These hydrafilter baffles are so located as to permit the grease, fats and oils to efficiently separate and rise above the normal established water line of the interceptor.
Froscozyme biomatic liquid enzyme will perform its function by converting the grease which is trapped in the interceptor into water soluble substance, before being discharge out into sewer.

Operation & Maintenance
Maintenance of the Biomatic Grease Interceptor System. The 1st Compartment with the Solid Sediment Basket can be cleaned out alternate day or immediately when it is 80% full after operation. However, the frequency of cleaning can be once a few days if the incoming volume is low.
2nd Compartment Grease Interceptor is designed to intercept incoming grease and oil. The grease and oil which is trapped in this chamber can be cleaned either: By manual scoop (once a week). In this case, grease interceptor shall be maintained in efficient operating condition by periodic removal of the accumulated grease. No such collected grease shall be introduced into any drainage piping or public or private sewer Or By biomatic liquid enzyme, which actually convert grease into water and carbon dioxide. If a thickening of the contents is noted, with a distinct caking effect across the surface, or an offensive, pungent odour is emitted, then gradually increase the suggested dosage rate to compensate. If the contents appear to remain in a minimal semi liquid state with little or no odour, this indicates successful degradation of the grease. Whenever tank is cleaned, the initial dosing procedure must be repeated. Note : Ensure correct PH, temperature & high chemical input in the waste water to be regularly checked, adjusted & controlled.
The Compartment of the Grease Interceptor unit should be maintained 1 to 2 weeks or when it is full of oil layer by way of manual skimming away the top oil layer or suck away by the tanker. The above recommended maintenance schedule is safe provided all the solid / oil waste from the Grease Interceptor are taken care off and removed frequently. This is to ensure less solid and oil waste entering into the manhole.
N.B The maintenance of the above Grease Interceptor units can be carried out by our maintenance team, provided it has to be confirmed in advance and fees to be charged accordingly per trip, numbers of units cleaned and accessory works.

Terms & Condition And Operation Methods
1) No detergent with high chemical content or cleaning agent to enter to the Grease Interceptor. 2) Avoid large amount of boiling water discharge into the Grease Interceptor. 3) No any other discharge pipe from any dispenser to be connected to sink pipe entering into interceptor. 4) Avoid high volume of chilled water entering into grease tank. 5) Biodegradable cleaning agent is advisable for use. 6) Only good for cooking oil. 7) To maintain and service Grease Interceptor by removing the food solid waste from the strainer (basket)
frequently or daily. 8) Ensure the enzyme bottle is not empty and ADU pump is working (electric power on 24 hour). 9) Once the oil or grease accumulates & layer is thick. It is advisable to remove it manually by skimming
slowly from the top and disposing to the rubbish bin wrap in a plastic bag. The settlement below (loose and muddy settlement can be scooped away, do not upset the settlement sludge by stirring hard) do it 3 days once a week.
10) no water jet shooting as a cleaning method, suction pump to suck away the dirty water is encourage. 11) It is according to the correct sizing and flow rate of the treatment system for oil & grease only. (subject to
waste water input which varies) 12) Enzyme should be Froscozyme Amnite FL100(GL) type, Enzyme bottle liquid should always present. 13) PH level in waste water entering the Grease Interceptor always maintained at PH 6-8 value. 14) Suitable and well trained maintenance team to service the Interceptor. 15) Grease Interceptor cover must always closed tight after services so that no large amount of rainwater to
enter into the Grease Interceptor. 16) Ensure hydra filter baffle assembly, or internal component and 1st compartment basket must be fixed back
after servicing the Grease Interceptor. 17) The soil pipe is not allowed to be connected to Grease Interceptor. 18) To reduce the odour remove all solid & skimmer away the grease layer manually or skimmer and flush with
clean water from sink for 5-10 minute until smell reduce. (but this can apply only when there is another centralized Grease Interceptor outside the building)

Steps
1. To check the power supply for ADU. 2. To open up the ADU cover & set the clock for the dosing time & timer for the amount of dosage. 3. To inspect all the part & accessories in the Grease Interceptor should be in order, e.g. Baffle, Integral Trap &
Bucket to be at its position. 4. To fill up the water in the Grease Interceptor. 5. Manually pour the enzyme as indicated in the table for starter dose. 6. To check and inspect the Grease Skimmer length and functioning.
Note : The Grease Interceptor system that had been supplied is intended for the removal of Grease and Oil in kitchen waste water only. Result based on SIRIM test is up 99% (subject to the input amount of Grease and Oil from individual kitchen waste water characteristic.
The pre-treatment of kitchen based waste water cannot be assumed to achieve the environmental standard B requirement by any Local Authority.

FROSCO Biomatic Grease Interceptor Dual Chambered (‘N’ Series)
Fabricated in 2 chamber and with 2 separate cover, with the first chamber for sediment trap and second chamber for grease interception. It must complete with perforated bucket, proper baffle assembly and integral trap to filter sediment waste, control over water turbulence and grease interception. The unit must on average achieve > 99% of grease interception when the waste water hydraulic retention time (HRT) is about 30 minutes. FROSCO Automatic Dosing Unit (FV-5000)
Frosco automatic dosing unit is completed with 1.7m of electrical cable and 3m of polythene supply tube. The electrical motor voltage shall be of 220-240 volts, 50 Hz, single phase, power 4 watts and 13 amp maximum rated fuse. The pump head shall be made of polycarbonate, clear polycarbonate front cover, 2 roller rotor, silicone tube and a 24 hours time switch standby battery (in case of power failure) with the pump rate of 30ml/ minute. FROSCO BIOMATIC GREASE INTERCEPTOR (Dual Chamber, C/W Sediment Trap)
FROSCO Biomatic Grease Interceptor is specially designed to intercept both the FOG (fat, grease and oil) and the starch residue and solid waste.
The Sediment trap compartment will filter and trap solid waste food and allow greasy water to continue to enter into grease interceptor compartment.
In the effort to achieve higher % of grease interception, the design of grease interceptor is crucial. Basically, the performance (% of grease removal) is affected by :
• Hydraulic Retention Time of waste water in the interceptor. • The control over the turbulence of incoming waste water. • The direction and pattern of water flow in interceptor (internal design of interceptor).

The following notes and calculation provide a basis for approximately determining size / type of Frosco Grease Interceptor :
1. All ‘Sources’ of grease contaminated water / fluids should be included. ‘Wash-up’ sinks & dishwaters are the main source of greasy water. Calculations of volume of discharge from each of these sources establishes the size of grease interceptor. The gross or total volume discharge is the sum of the discharge of the equipment’s being emptied /flushed simultaneously after taking into account simultaneous flush diversity factor.
2. Estimate the Flowrate in litre / second for the gross total litres. 3. The size / type of Frosco Grease Interceptor is that with the next HIGHER litres per second rating. 4. Should it be necessary to evaluate the size / type based on actual equipment usage. It is necessary to
calculate liquid volume processed by each piece of equipment.

Frosco FES 168 Sediment Interceptor is designed to act as an effective strainer and intercept foreign solid matter from entering drain lines. The provision of a perforated stainless steel sediment bucket makes the maintenance work much easier. The installation of Frosco 168 Sediment Interceptor therefore protects the waste lines against clogging.

One Frosco sediment interceptor FES 168 is installed for each hawker stall, while a centralized automatic biomatic grease interceptor is installed for each row of stalls.
The grease interceptor should be installed within the length of 10 meter from the washing sinks to avoid the built-up of grease along the pipe before the interceptor. However if the piping length exceed 10 meters and the grease interceptor to be installed far away from the washing sinks then the sediment trap is required below each sinks to collect the solid waste. In this case dosing of extra enzyme into the pipe line may require.

Froscozyme biomatic liquid enzyme is the environmental friendly answer to the disposal of grease deposits in Frosco biomatic grease interceptor. Froscozyme biomatic liquid enzyme is a non-toxic, non-corrosive and non-volatile mixture, it is simple and safe to use.
Biomatic enzyme can produce certain reactions such as fat splitting, protein and carbohydrate decomposition. However their supply is limited and therefore they do not perform the digestive process quickly enough to make for efficient grease disposal.
Froscozyme biomatic liquid enzyme is a booster enzyme catalyst, it contains viable organisms, enzymes and food supplements. Froscozyme will speed up the digestive process and enhance the efficiency of grease disposal. It will also eliminate or reduces offensive odours and greatly reduces the frequency of manual cleaning.
Froscozyme biomatic liquid enzyme will help a waste treatment system to reach it’s optimal level of treatment efficiency and thus help the system to eliminate BOD and COD as rapidly as possible from a waste water flow. This product will help liquify solids and re-establish beneficial microflora in a biological waste treatment system.

Health and Safety
FROSCO Biomatic Liquid Enzyme concentrate is safe in normal use. The biologically active nature of the product can cause skin irritation in some cases. It is essential that rubber gloves are worn at all times. Skin Contact - Should the concentrate come in contact with the skin wash clean with plenty of clear water. Eye Contact - If the concentrate splashes into the eye or is rubbed in by the hand, flush the eye with plenty of
clean running water. Ingestion - Avoid ingesting the concentrate but should an accident occur, wash out the mouth thoroughly with
water. Do not induce vomiting. Take plenty of water or milk to drink. Consult medical advice immediately after the initial treatment has been given.
Biomatic liquid enzyme concentrate is manufacturing from non-pathogenic bacterial cultures. This product should be stored, handled and used in accordance with good industrial hygiene practices. The information contained herein is based on the present state of our knowledge and is intended to describe all products from the point of view of health and safety requirements. It should not therefore be construed as guaranteeing specific properties.

FV 5000 Operating Manual 1) To set the dosing time by programming the ‘Timer’. 2) To set the duration of each dosing according to the enzyme quantity required ( 30ml/minute ).

This enhance the efficiency of the operation and significantly redusing the build-up of grease and frequency of cleaning.
The unit is delivered pre-set accordingly to the Frosco Biomatic Grease Interceptor model and code number, and to dose with the recommended quantity of Froscozyme Biomatic liquid enzyme. The pre-set doses can be varied on site to suit other application. The dosing rate is pre-programmed at a pump rate 30ml/minute.

SPECIFICATION The Frosco Automatic Doser shall be complete with 1.7m of electrical cable and 3m of polythene supply tube. Electrical motor voltage 220-240 volts, 50Hz, single phase, power 4 watts, 13 amp maximum rated fuse and 5 days power reserve standby battery time switch.
No Back Flow Or Syphoning
How A Peristaltic Pump Operates. Peristaltic (wave of automatic contractions propelling contents along channel or tube) hence peristaltic action. By mechanical simulation of biological peristalsis roller squeeze tube walls together to form a seal as roller moves along the tube, then the previously compressed tube regains original form and sucks fluid or gas into the formed vacuum. This is the self-priming function.
The fluid/gas will follow the roller until the tube no longer compressed. By now a second roller is compressing the tube preventing flow-back, pushing the initial dose of fluid/gas out of the pump and repeating the suction effect. As the pump continues to operate the rollers mounted in special rotors create suction lift and outlet pressure.

As the water containing air, grease and food particles enters the inlet of the interceptor at high velocity, it is directed downwards by the main deflecting baffles, at the same time allowing the trapped air bubbles to rise to the surface. The overall effect of which is to reduce the velocity and turbulence of the incoming liquid.
Turbulence of the liquid is still further reduced by passing through and over the remaining hydrafilter baffles. These hydrafilter baffles are so located as to permit the grease, fats and oils to efficiently separate and rise above the normal established water line of the interceptor.
Froscozyme biomatic liquid enzyme will perform its function by converting the grease which is trapped in the interceptor into water soluble substance, before being discharge out into sewer.

Operation & Maintenance
Maintenance of the Biomatic Grease Interceptor System. The 1st Compartment with the Solid Sediment Basket can be cleaned out alternate day or immediately when it is 80% full after operation. However, the frequency of cleaning can be once a few days if the incoming volume is low.
2nd Compartment Grease Interceptor is designed to intercept incoming grease and oil. The grease and oil which is trapped in this chamber can be cleaned either: By manual scoop (once a week). In this case, grease interceptor shall be maintained in efficient operating condition by periodic removal of the accumulated grease. No such collected grease shall be introduced into any drainage piping or public or private sewer Or By biomatic liquid enzyme, which actually convert grease into water and carbon dioxide. If a thickening of the contents is noted, with a distinct caking effect across the surface, or an offensive, pungent odour is emitted, then gradually increase the suggested dosage rate to compensate. If the contents appear to remain in a minimal semi liquid state with little or no odour, this indicates successful degradation of the grease. Whenever tank is cleaned, the initial dosing procedure must be repeated. Note : Ensure correct PH, temperature & high chemical input in the waste water to be regularly checked, adjusted & controlled.
The Compartment of the Grease Interceptor unit should be maintained 1 to 2 weeks or when it is full of oil layer by way of manual skimming away the top oil layer or suck away by the tanker. The above recommended maintenance schedule is safe provided all the solid / oil waste from the Grease Interceptor are taken care off and removed frequently. This is to ensure less solid and oil waste entering into the manhole.
N.B The maintenance of the above Grease Interceptor units can be carried out by our maintenance team, provided it has to be confirmed in advance and fees to be charged accordingly per trip, numbers of units cleaned and accessory works.

Terms & Condition And Operation Methods
1) No detergent with high chemical content or cleaning agent to enter to the Grease Interceptor. 2) Avoid large amount of boiling water discharge into the Grease Interceptor. 3) No any other discharge pipe from any dispenser to be connected to sink pipe entering into interceptor. 4) Avoid high volume of chilled water entering into grease tank. 5) Biodegradable cleaning agent is advisable for use. 6) Only good for cooking oil. 7) To maintain and service Grease Interceptor by removing the food solid waste from the strainer (basket)
frequently or daily. 8) Ensure the enzyme bottle is not empty and ADU pump is working (electric power on 24 hour). 9) Once the oil or grease accumulates & layer is thick. It is advisable to remove it manually by skimming
slowly from the top and disposing to the rubbish bin wrap in a plastic bag. The settlement below (loose and muddy settlement can be scooped away, do not upset the settlement sludge by stirring hard) do it 3 days once a week.
10) no water jet shooting as a cleaning method, suction pump to suck away the dirty water is encourage. 11) It is according to the correct sizing and flow rate of the treatment system for oil & grease only. (subject to
waste water input which varies) 12) Enzyme should be Froscozyme Amnite FL100(GL) type, Enzyme bottle liquid should always present. 13) PH level in waste water entering the Grease Interceptor always maintained at PH 6-8 value. 14) Suitable and well trained maintenance team to service the Interceptor. 15) Grease Interceptor cover must always closed tight after services so that no large amount of rainwater to
enter into the Grease Interceptor. 16) Ensure hydra filter baffle assembly, or internal component and 1st compartment basket must be fixed back
after servicing the Grease Interceptor. 17) The soil pipe is not allowed to be connected to Grease Interceptor. 18) To reduce the odour remove all solid & skimmer away the grease layer manually or skimmer and flush with
clean water from sink for 5-10 minute until smell reduce. (but this can apply only when there is another centralized Grease Interceptor outside the building)

1. To check the power supply for ADU. 2. To open up the ADU cover & set the clock for the dosing time & timer for the amount of dosage. 3. To inspect all the part & accessories in the Grease Interceptor should be in order, e.g. Baffle, Integral Trap &
Bucket to be at its position. 4. To fill up the water in the Grease Interceptor. 5. Manually pour the enzyme as indicated in the table for starter dose. 6. To check and inspect the Grease Skimmer length and functioning.
Note : The Grease Interceptor system that had been supplied is intended for the removal of Grease and Oil in kitchen waste water only. Result based on SIRIM test is up 99% (subject to the input amount of Grease and Oil from individual kitchen waste water characteristic.
The pre-treatment of kitchen based waste water cannot be assumed to achieve the environmental standard B requirement by any Local Authority.

Fabricated in 2 chamber and with 2 separate cover, with the first chamber for sediment trap and second chamber for grease interception. It must complete with perforated bucket, proper baffle assembly and integral trap to filter sediment waste, control over water turbulence and grease interception.
