The audience of this magazine are Are people who like rap. Hence why Eminem is on the front page. The age Of the audience is about 16 above as it Looks very well made and not suitable for Kids. The audience is also for both male And female . Another reason why you can tellIts for older people is the fact bold colours have been chosen not pinks or light blue which would be situated with children

The masthead of the magazine is bold and bright with its black an red colours. These coloursAre extremely contrasting so they pop out of thePage. The Mastheads name VIBE has many Semiotics the name vibe can be also be seen as Vibration witch is related to music as that’s howYou hear music. Also VIBE can be seen as a specificFeeling this may suggest that the magazine isGoing to tell you their feeling of artists music.

The image of the picture covers the whole page with an image of Eminem. The image looks very serious as he has his arms crossed and is looking directly into the camera. This looks like he is staring directly at us this gets the attention Of the people looking at the magazine cover. It could also suggest that his album is serious.

The layout of the magazine follows a Simple magazine genre convention with the masthead at the top and cover line Information about what's in the magazine down the sides. So you can tell the difference Between each story they are separated into two colours red and black. It also has a strap line at the top of the page.It also has the issue number in the top right corner.

The fonts used in this magazine are bold and simple and clear to see as it stands outFrom the plain white background. It also appeals to the target audience as its not girly or childish. But strong and simple.

The colours used in VIBE are very simple and contrasting as the redStands out from the black. Meaning the title is the first thing you see.The black and red fonts also stand out because the colour of the background is just white making it easy to read from a distance.

The audience of this magazine is aimed at teenage girls who are into music. 13 to 19 year olds. I think this because of the colour scheme which is used and the fact that Beyoncé is on the front cover which appeals to girls ad women.

The name of the magazine Billboard is very catch and easy to remember making it a great name for a magazine.Billboard can suggest that the magazine Is like billboard giving you all the Recent information about bands and Artists. This also allows the reader withoutReading the magazine what the Information will be like inside.

The image of Beyoncé covers the whole front page and stands out blends in with the background colours as they are the same. This give it a soft feeling. The way she is posing and looks is very sexual as she is staring straight at the camera this engages the viewer. Also the way she is has her hands on her hips represents she is dominant and is Controlling.

The layout of this magazine is a very common magazine convention with theMasthead at the top of the page. The only difference is that the strap line is in the middle of the page. The magazine issue number is in the top right and the cover line information is scattered around the page.

Many fonts have been used throughout the front cover. The singers name Beyoncé is used in her font which is used on all of her albums. So the magazines font is different this makes her name stand out. The masthead has a sharp and bold text which stands out from the pink background catching your eye straight away.

The colours which have been used in the magazine are extremely good as they contrast well against each other meaning its easy to read everything on the page. The yellow and white writing can be easily read against the pink background. Also the colours which have been used appeal allot the females as they are girly colours such as the yellow and pink.

The audience of this magazine is for males and females aged 14 above. This is because I know that NME is a magazine for people who love their music and is very in-depth into artist of all types. Also the content isdifficult to understand for the younger people.

The masthead NME does not have any semiotics as it is not a word but an acronymFor New Musical Express the semiotics. ThisIs that the magazine is going to offer new musicAnd its up to date as its express. Although ifYou didn’t know that then it wouldn’t have a Semiotic.

The image used on the front cover uses the whole page and sticks out as the three men are all wearing black and the background is white. The way they are standing looks calm and laid back but they are also wearing glasses which makes them look serious at the same time. They are not looking directly at the camera this makes the audiences eyes scan the page and wonder what they are looking at.

The layout of the magazines follows a simple genre convention as on the front page is a simple layout with the master head in the top left corner in a black bold font. This stands out from the white background making it easy to see and read. The cover lines are just bellow theMaster head and are in a difference font so you Can tell the difference between each article.

Many fonts have been used through the magazines front cover. The mastheads font is bold and sticks out straight away as its sharp andA bold black colour. The subheading is also bold and sharp and is contrasted against the black picture of magnetic man.

The main colour scheme of this magazine front cover is black and white these contrasting colours stand out from the shelf as they are simple. The use of black and white may symbolise that they are modern as todays modern homes are usually black and white and a bit different.
