Jehovah Jireh “God will provide” I love that I serve a God that knows my every need (and yours) and cares enough to take care of them. We are often taken by surprise by circumstances and events in our lives. God never is. He knows in advance all that is going to transpire. He cares. He has provision ready for us. “Remember: A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish planter gets a lavish crop. I want each of you to take plenty of time to think it over, and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and armtwisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving. God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you’re ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done.” 2 Cor 9:68 MSG “I was once young and now I am old, but not once have I been witness to God’s failure to supply my need when first I had given for the furtherance of His work. He has never failed in His promise, so I cannot fail in my service to Him.” William Carey, Baptist Missionary to India As I am writing this newsletter article, the Kentucky Wildcats just beat the Tennessee Volunteers to go 260. By the time this newsletter gets to your home, they may no longer be in pursuit of perfection. Can you even imagine the pressure that these young men are under? Trying to make college basketball history has to play a huge emotional role against them. The Big Blue Nation is a lot to blame for all of the pressure. Somehow, we have gotten to the place that we demand perfection when it comes to basketball here in Kentucky. This world that we live in has very high expectations for all of us who call ourselves Christians. They may not read the Bible, but they are pretty sure they know how we are supposed to react in every situation. It's kind of the same as you and I yelling at the Harrison twins because they keep missing threes or because the big men can’t get a rebound, although we really can’t make many threes ourselves. We would need a step ladder to touch the net, much less get a rebound! We are not perfect! “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God". "There is none righteous, no not one.” The good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that I was blind and now I can see... I was lost and now I am found. The Lord made it clear that we could never do anything or have anything done that could pay for the sins that we have committed in our lives. But thank God for His unspeakable gift when He sent Jesus to pay for our sins! That is how he showed His love to us. Now we have eternal life by believing in Jesus Christ! "No, I'm not perfect, I'm just forgiven, Haven't yet arrived, but I'm on my way, Since Jesus found me and forgave me, Can't say I'm perfect but I can say I'm saved." We are so blessed that our heavenly Father does not demand perfection from us, so let’s be careful not to demand perfection from each other. God has begun a good work in us as believers and He will continue that work in us until the day of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are not perfect, just forgiven! It’s been a great time for the school inSchitu Duca, Romania. We have a halfdozen new students withmost of the otherstudentsreturningforclasses. Aswitheveryfacility, there are always problems...butGod has been gracious to provide neededhelp to fix those problems. If you haveFacebook, please go and see the picturesthat Marcela has posted. We love to keepthe ministry updated on Facebook so folkscan continue to see and understand howbetter to pray for that continuing ministry.

I plan on returning there at the end ofMarch and Rody will follow in May. If youhave felt God’s tug on your heart to go on ashort term trip, please see us for the besttimes to come over. We continue to thankyou for prayers and support and for theLord’s grace upon all involved there.

The only thing that would be helpful is ifanyone has any baby clothes that they nolongerneedandwould liketosendoverwithus. Only baby clothes are needed. Thanks

February was Focus on WMU month(February 9-‐15). It was a very busy and funtime acknowledging our work locally andglobally, recognizing and expressing ourappreciation to our Pastor, staff, church, andcommunity. Getting to spread God’s loveduring Valentine’s month was awesome!Although, don’t forget to continue to spreadGod’s love to one another and to continue tolive whole-‐heartedly for God.DuringMarch, we will be concentrating on

Week of Prayer for North American Missionsand Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (March1-‐8). The offering is given to missionariesserving in North America through the North

American Mission Board (NAMB). The goalfor the 2015 Annie Armstrong nationaloffering is $60 million.

Every year,we honor thelife andwork ofAnnie WalkerA r m s t r o n g(1850-‐1938).Annie was the first corresponding secretaryfor theWoman’sMissionUnion (WMU). Thisannual offering celebrates her life andlegacy....one that was centered aroundencouraging and stirringupothers to supportandbe involved inmissions endeavors. Annieworked diligently in her community to reachout to those around her (giving kind words,

hugs, or handing out clothes). Our church goal for Annie Armstrong Easter

Offering this year is set for $1,500. During themonth of March, we encourage you to prayfor these missionaries in North America andhelp give to support our goal so missionariescan continue to spread the gospel of JesusChrist to the lost.

Therewill be collection jarsmade available atthe beginning of March if you would like totake one home, collect and save yourmoney, thenreturnat theendofMarch. Also, offeringenvelopes will be available behind the seatsof the pews in the sanctuary if you would liketo donate during the month of March.

Are you ready toput the snow&coldweather behindyou and move on to Spring? What better way tojumpstart Spring than to join to FBC choir as weprepare for this year's Easter

Choirpractices will be Sunday evenings at 5pm. Don't worry if you can'tread music, a practice CD is provided to help you whenever youneed it. As Easter approaches, I hope to have you join us for thiscelebration of Christ! - Michelle Canterbury

BlessingsOf Love,

It seems as if it has been a tough Winter on discipleship. Withall the cold and snow and sickness, it's been a difficult time forthe teachers and the students. However, we do thank the Lordthat through it all, classes in Grief, How to Study Your Biblethrough Ephesians, Preaching class, Disciples Mission, aladies calls on Tuesday morning on I & II Thessalonians, andSpiritual Warfare do continue on.

I would encourage you to pray about a new Experiencing Godclass. This is one of our core discipleship classes at FBC andif you have ever wondered how to recognize how God worksaround us and how much He is really involved in our lives thenthis is a must class to take. Our prayer is that everyone atsome point in their spiritual journey take this class. If you arereally and truly interested in allowing God to work in andchange your life, see Donnie Ratliff about starting a new class.

Rody started an every-other-Thursday-evening Bible movieclass and will continue with it for a while. She will let everyoneknow when those movies will be shown at our house.

I would also encourage everyone to come out on Sunday andWednesday evenings to learn more about the books ofGenesis and James. No matter what the weather, God is stillworking and will continue to work through His people till Christreturns.

DiscipleshipAlthough theweather may havederailed some ofour plans, causedsome of our day-

to-day activites to come to a screeching halt, and perhaps even caused some a slightcase of cabin fever, we are not dismayedbecause what we carry is Good News, nomatter what the weather.

Our plans always need to take a backseat to what God has in mind. It's my prayerthat you were able to slow down a little.Maybe you were able to spend some extratime connecting with Him, enjoying yourfamilies, and preparing your hearts for abusy Spring.

The youth is looking forward torescheduling some of lastmonth's activities, continuing several small groupbible studies, and pressing on toward Winter Jam 2015 at

the end ofthe month. We'd lovefor you tojoin us!
