My academic and research works are tuned for inclusive education policies and

practices and I was one of the committee member in developing such policies in the XI Five

Year Plan. All my activities are oriented for training of teachers for inclusive practices at

school and college levels through pre and in service teacher training programmes. As, I am

having expertise in education, special education, inclusive education, adult education,

journalism and mass communication, disability studies and, psychology, I shall organize the

programmes with multidisciplinary orientations by involving the academics and other

stakeholders in the communities. I was also an expert committee member nominated by the

Govt., of Kerala for establishing the Center for Excellence in Disability Studies, which is first

of its kind in India, apart from exploring the disability studies programmes in the UK

universities under Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowship Award 2011-12. With these

credentials, I shall establish the Center for Disability Studies and Rehabilitation Science

implement better policies and development programmes for integrated development. With

my academic expertise, and national & international exposures, I will be able to develop

better linkages to mobilize the human resources for collaborative cross cultural research

work at local, regional, national and international levels.
