Mrs. Zehnder is carrying on algebra class using Zoom. I sat in an online meeting with her students so we have not stopped teaching. All teachers are communicating with their students with activities, assignments, and ideas to keep their skills on target. If the quarantine is extended beyond April 5th, the learning will continue. Zoom may be utilized for many grades. More details to follow. Remember at this point, enjoy your time with your children. While spending time in prayer and reflection, I am believing that this is God asking us to all slow down, love and appreciate one another. A few things to keep you up to date on: 1. The diocesan principals met on Monday and we decided to end the third marking period on March 13th. This means that teachers are finalizing grades and completing report cards. Report cards will be sent home electronically after we return from Spring Break. 2. Spring Break will still occur from March 27th through April 5th. There will be no communication from the school or teachers during this time. 3. School is scheduled to return on Monday, April 6th. If the quarantine is extended beyond April 5th, I will communicate this with you with guidelines on how the teachers will proceed with online learning. 4. The diocese is asking all principals to inform their parents of the following: If someone in your household tests positive for the coronavirus, please let the school principal know so that it can be reported to the diocese. 5. It seems some parents are having difficulties with setting up their home computer so students can access our student cloud. Please see your teacher s communication regarding instructions. The problem seems to be that the parents are signed in on their browser with their own g-mail account. 6. If having wireless access is or becomes an issue, Comcast/Xfinity and Charter/ Spectrum, have announced they will provide two months of free service for broadband internet access to households with K-12 students and/or low-income households. For information about Comcast go to https://www.internetessentials.com/covid19, For Charter/ Spectrum information call 1-844-488-8395 to enroll. This is not an endorsement of their programs, I just want families to be aware of possibilities. We want to make sure our families have what they need so our students can be successful during this unprecedented time. 7. Laurie Mooney and I will be in the building; however, with limited hours. If no one answers the phone, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as we return. I am also available to be contacted by email at any time. Do not hesitate to reach out. We are here for you. REGISTRATION Thank you to those who have submitted their registration. If you have not yet registered, we have extended the registration deadline to April 15th. Fish Fry/Bake Sale—Cancelled

3 2019-20

Dear St. Michael Families,

Thank you for supporting the Fish Fry Bake Sale with donations and purchasing baked goods at the Fish Fry. I am sad to report no further Fish Fries will take place this year.

MSU Concessions

Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered on the MSU Concessions committee this past year! With your help during both football and men's basketball season, this fundraiser brought in a tremendous amount of money to benefit St. Michael's Catholic School. We wouldn't be able to fulfill the mission without the generosity of volunteers like you.

We had several parents, grandparents, teachers and staff go above and beyond and we sin-cerely appreciate all that you do. Your willingness to give freely of your time is greatly ap-preciated, and your efforts are making a difference in the community.

God bless,

Laurie Cathcart & Lisa Fox
