Di Candia Srl was founded in 1953 by the actual President, Mr. Antonio di Candia, as manufacturer o accessories for aeronautic industry, high temperaturecomponents and parts of electric motors, becoming in a short time one of the most important companies in its field of industry.Thanks to the experience in special materials through the years, in 1973 the company starts the production of wheels for high and low temperatures, toanswer the request of one of the largest Eurpoean manufacturers of wheels an castors, for which will supply the wheels for more than 30 years.In 1973 Di Candia Srl split the production of accessories for aerospace industry and electric motors from the wheels production, becoming during these yearsthe largest European manufacturer of high temperature wheels and supplying about the 80% of the market. The wheel production became then one of the most important in Italy, taking the actual name DC Di Candia Ruote and improving the investiments, creates itsown logo and starts the collaboration and distribution of wheels through distributors and wholesalers, first in Europe then in the World. A the end of the 90’s DC Di Candia Ruote extend its production range, introducing a new line of Stainless Steel brackets, zinc-plated brackets, Nylon-Polyurethane, Nylon-Elastic Polyurethane wheels and Nylon wheels, addressing the production toward specialized sectors of the industry, such as the bakeryindustry, food and meat industry, sanitary, musical and show industry, and specializing itself in the Stainless Steel brackets production for which is today offering the highest quality and fully certified products. DC Di Candia is currently distributing the production through a network of distributors and wholesalers in the whole world, manufacturing any part and productexclusively Italy, utilizing exclusively high quality raw materials selected in Italy and Europe, and thanks to the internal development and production of mouldsand tooling, the production plant can always take advantage of the latest technologies and production processes, offering an unmatched quality of products tothe market.The high standard of production are joined to a young, trained and skilled commercial and technical staff which ensures a full time great customer service andcomplete assistance both for technical and commercial inquiries to distributors and customers.

ROLLING RESISTANCEIt is the force required to maintain the equipment at a constant speed. This force is inversely proportional to the wheel diameter and depends on the type of bearing. It depends upon the surface conditions. Standard rolling resistance relates to an absolute flat hard surface.

MOTIVE POWERAll DC wheels and casters are specifically manufactured for manual propulsion; please refer to the manufacturer for wheels and casters required for powered propulsion.

SPEEDDC wheels and casters nominal load capacites relate to a maximum speed of 2.5 mph ( 1,1 m/s ).

LOAD CAPACITYLoad capacity given in this Catalogue 2011 are related to normal wheels and casters working condition, on reasonably smooth floor surfaces free from grooves, gaps etc. DC recommends calculation on a single cart by using the following formula:

STORAGEDC recommends that products are stored in a ventilated place, with temperature in between +14°F and +104°F, without high umidity and protected from dust. Do not storefor long periods of time and protect from direct sunlight to avoid the risk of color modification on certain wheels.

CASTERS FITTING TO EQUIPMENTDC guarantee the performance and the life of the wheels and casters, in line with the product warranty, when the following condition are fulfilled:- the wheel must be fitted into the proper fork by using the original axes, screws and nuts of the right dimensions.- verification of the free rotation of the wheel after fitting.- top plate casters must be fitted with screws, nuts and washers of the right size and quantities indicated by the manufacturer.- solid stem casters must be fitted into tubular structures with right tolerances.- mountin plane surface of bolt hole casters must adhere perfectly to the mounting surface of the equipment.- bolt hole casters must be fitted by using a bolt as recommended by the manufacturer.

NEVER WELD THE CASTER TO THE EQUIPMENT

LUBRICATIONAlthough DC wheels and casters are maintenance-free, we recommend that the lubrication be checked periodically when the equipment works in special environments. A few drops of proper lubricant may prevent damage when casters are used in severe conditions.

SPECIAL APPLICATION AND/OR ENVIRONMENTIn order to prevent damages and to provide the right wheel and caster in any application, DC recommends to contact the technical dept for any information on material resistance with regard to special requirements.

The DC Di Candia Ruote products has been designed and manufactured following the main European Standards related to manufacturing of wheels and castors.Dynamic load capacity values indicated in this catalogue* have been determined in accordance with the set forth in UNI EN 12528, 12529 , 12530, 12532.

Special High Quality Selflube Bushes, specially studied and developed to fit Phenolic and high tempwheels; if used with original equipment Stainless Steel bushes avoid the risk of squeaking and whistleswhich are typical of the standard plain bearing type. These bushes will also readuce drastically the rol-ling resistance of the wheel.

Stainless Steel bushes coated with High Quality Selflube material, specially studied and developed to fitPhenolic and high temp wheels; partially avoid the risk of squeaking and whistles which are typical ofthe standard plain bearing type. These bushes will also readuce drastically the rolling resistance of thewheel.

Steel or Stainless steel bushes; they are used into plain bearing wheels, and as axle for high-temp ballbearings and syntered bronze bushes.

High-temp Ball Bearings; they reduces the rolling resistance of the wheel and are speciallyrecommended in those applications where a high load is applied on the equipment.

Bronze syntered bushes; they are fitted into wheels which require a good resistance under heavy loads(even in high temperatures) and requiring a plain bearing hub.

Steel or Stainless steel bushes; they are used into plain bearing wheels, and as axle for high-temp ballbearings and syntered bronze bushes.

Steel roller bearings are suggested for a frequent wheel use, this do not require further lubrication andis ideal for applications featuring high radial and axial loads. Roller bearings are shielded into the wheelhub to retain bearing and to avoid introduction of dust and dirt.

Special syntetic compound combined with special fibers and molded under high pressure joined to extreme temperature process which creates a high quality, durable, versatile and guaranteed wheel.DITHERM MTW wheels features a hard surface and consequently roll well even on relatively soft surfaces.They features an excellent resistance to water, most solvents, oils, acids and chemicals, excellent fire-smoke-toxicity properties and are certified for use in food industry and for any oven application requiring a continuous exercise temperature up to +536°F with peaks of +572°F.This wheel assures also a great work into freezers in temperature up to -40°F and guarantee a high resistance against thermal shock due to quick increasing or reduction of temperature.DITHERM MTW has been studied and is manufactured to resist sudden jumps of temperature up to 662°F within 60 seconds.Ditherm MTW wheels do not mark the floor.

It has been studied and developed to join and complete the already well known range of DITHERM wheels for temperature and extreme conditions, and is manufactured for a target of work between -40°F and +536°F with peaks of +554°F.This new wheel features a superior resistance to chipping even against sharpest obstacles and assures an incredible resistance against chemicals, oils and aggressive cleaners.The rolling resistance is extremely low thanks to the phisical characteristics of the material of the wheel, which also provides a noise-free rolling even in plain bore configuration.It shows an extremely high mechanical resistance, as it has been recognized by long time testing run in collaboration with Tecnoelastomeri Test Facility. The new DITHERM STW series is made in special filled thermoplastic material, and is moulded with advanced technologies and processes which make this wheel a very high quality product setting a new standard in its field of application.Ditherm STW wheels do not mark the floor.

Thanks to the new concept of plate-fork computerized moulding is featuring an extreme precision in tolerances and in ball race shape control, offering the bestswivel capacity in every condition of temperature and load. General conditions of supply

1 - Purchase orderThe purchase order implies the acceptance of the present conditions of sale, to which is not admitted exception, if not agreed in written.The orders received through auxiliary and intermediary of the commerce will be accepted upon authorization of Di Candia srl.

2 - PricesThe prices are intended Ex Works (EXW) Di Candia srl factory, if not differently agreed in written. The prices of the products of Di Candia srlare those exposed in its current price list lists, could be modified anytime and will be effective on the same date in which they come fixed.

3 - PaymentsThe payment modalities are agreed between the buyer and Di Candia srl upon order. The lacked pick-up of the ordered goods from thebuyer authorizes Di Candia srl to the recovery of the due credit. Every shipment has to be considered independent from the others to theeffects of the payment. The delay in the payments of the buyer authorizes Di Candia srl to hold any ulterior supply. Any eventual claim bet-ween the parts, also related to the guarantees concurred and accepted, will not carry any extension in the fixed terms of payment, neitherthe right to suspend them or to modify them, and whichever action of the buyer could not be accepted until the same will be cleared withpayments. On the sums past due and not paid, is the right of Di Candia srl to demand the payment plus the additional interests fixed by cur-rent rate increased by 3 units.

4 - PackingThe packing of the material is debited to the pure cost unless differently agreed and is not replaceble.

5 - DeliveryThe delivery of the goods is always intended Ex Works (EXW) Di Candia srl, unless differently agreed. The terms of delivery, in working days,is expressed as indicative and related to the date of order confirmation. Eventual delays in the deliveries will not authorize demands for com-pensation of damages from of the buyer. Delivery day means that one in which the goods leaves the warehouse of Di Candia srl or the dayin which the goods is ready to disposition of the purchaser.

6 - ShipmentThe shipments are always executed on behalf and to the risk of the buyer, also in the case they come exceptionally carried under DDUterms. Di Candia srl it does not assume any responsibility for eventual damages of the goods after that the same left the factory. The buyertherefore is held to supply according to the law to and to protect the own interests. In lack of precise instructions from the buyer the ship-ments will be carried through the most opportune way from Di Candia srl and then debited.

7- ModificationsDi Candia srl can bring whichever modification to its products without prior notice to the buyer. The modifications brought subsequently tothe ordering cannot give rise to any compensation.

8 - Guarantees, Claims and Return of materialsThe buyer is held to verify the goods after its arrival before the use and/or whichever alteration. Eventual claims must be reported withineight days from the reception of the goods for evident defects and within eight days from the assessment for hidden defects. In any casethe right to claim expire after three months from the reception of the goods. Return of goods is not accepted without authorization from DiCandia Srl. In case of error in purchase order from the buyer, the material could be replaced exclusively under DDU Di Candia srl terms,upon authorization, and only if perfectly integral and not used in any way. In any case the credit will be agreed but with 30% deduction onthe invoiced price, for expenses of reconditioning of the replaced material. The goods that will be recognized as failed will be replaced withequal one or featuring the same characteristics. The responsibility of Di Candia srl in relation to failed products does not extend in any casebeyond the replacement of the failed goods. Replacement of any component with non original ones might modify the results and will invali-date any guarantee on the product. Di Candia srl does not assume the responsibility for eventual damages caused from an improper use orfrom use of not original spare parts or fittings.

9 - DisputesIn the event of disputes please refer to the following legal authority: Autorità Giudiziaria del Foro di Busto Arsizio (Va) - Italy.
