Training the workforceof the future Community Report

Lone Star College-North Harris by the numbers

Lone Star College-North Harris and its centers offer an array of workforce training programs. These programs prepare students for careers ranging from construction and HVAC to healthcare and engineering technology. The recent opening of LSC-Victory Center and our Health Professions Building, along with upgrades to the Applied Technology Building at our main campus, has significantly enhanced our ability to train the community’s future workforce. We work closely with industry partners to ensure our students are prepared for their new

careers, and these new facilities and resources continue to impress both students and their potential employers.

In addition to providing students with the skills necessary to stand out in competitive fields, our programs also incorporate the flexibility many of our students rely on to reach their goals. A variety of degrees and certificates, as well as non-credit training courses, are available. In some cases, students can complete a certificate and be ready for entry-level employment in as little as six months. Opportunities for

financial aid and scholarships are also available to many of our students. These workforce options, combined with our academic classes and adult education offerings, such as GED courses and English for non-native speakers, open new doors for all.
