Form-fit jointsWith the snap effect, the correct engagement of the longitudinalelement joints of ems-isolier panels is clearly defined. The snapengagement of the elements in the joint ensures a hermetic seal.
Exact fitThe achievement of an exact fit between elements results from theprofiling of the joint geometry in production and makes mountingconsiderably easier.
Snap effectThe characteristics of the snap effect are defined by the length ofthe elements.
Retention effectIn elements up to 4,000 mm long the snap effect produces a self-supporting construction without the need for an additional sub-structure. Ideal for the construction of large cells or rooms. Thisretention effect of the snap joint is unique and protected worldwideby patent.
Greater joint stabilityThe new joint geometry offers enhanced stability and a more homogeneous appearance of the joint.

In its composite construction, Hoesch Additive Floor® unites theadvantages of the traditional building techniques of steel and rein-forced concrete buildings. Planners of bearing structures todaymake use of extra high, industrially pre-fabricated trapezoidalsheets as floor elements. These allow the rapid mounting of thewhole bearing structure typical of steel construction, without theneed for props during the concrete-pouring phase, which hindersthe building process. This leads to generous modular spacing ofgirders, making the whole bearing structure more economic.Hoesch Additive Floor® achieves a fire resistance class of F90 withadditional reinforcement.
The patented floor system:Hoesch Additive Floor® consists of Hoesch profiled sheets with re-inforcement and top course concrete. It is combined with girders insteel composite construction. The support on massive steel cleats, welded onto the upper chord across the direction of the upperchord, is patented.

From Cold Store
to Door. All ems-isolier® Hinged and Sliding Doors are produced at thePansdorf (Ostholstein) plant – from the cost effective production ofall current standard formats to the precision production of specialformats. The decisive factor is always the individual requirement ofthe client. Special production for particular construction situationsis implemented after technical discussions with ems engineers. The decisions which result from these discussions are incorpo-rated directly into development work. This way the ems engineersare permanently updated in their work as to the current require-ments of the market. All ems-isolier® doors are designed to beuser-friendly and can include all necessary security systems.

Press function Snap function
One handle - two functions* - The new ems-isolier® Combi HingedDoor handle combines two important functions in one part.
1. Press function
When closed (handle vertical) the door is pressed firmly againstthe frame due to the conical shape of the catch.
In this way the door is permanently closed and sealed all round.Avoid loss of temperature and thus of expensive energy!
This handle position is especially recommended overnight or during weekends/holidays.
Of course, in this condition the door can still be opened from inside using the emergency handle.
2. Snap functionOpen and closed at the same timeThe multiple function of the new ems-isolier® Combi is apparentwhen it is open (handle horizontal). The door is still shut, since thesafety catch prevents it from opening by itself.
To open the door all that is need is a gentle tug on the handle!
Just push the door or handle and the snap function will close itagain.
This function is a significant contribution to energy savings, espe-cially where the door is opened and closed frequently!
* fitted to all ems-isolier® Cold Store and freezer room Hinged Doors up to a meas-urement of 1,100 x 2,200 mm (LW x LH); for larger applications only the pressfunction is fitted.

Coloured Steel for a long-lasting
Coating.Uncompromising quality, coat after coat. Steel is a multi-talentedbuilding material. To develop these talents to the maximum evenunder difficult conditions, special surface protection is required. Inour building elements this generally consists of a metallic coatingand an additional organic coil coating. This duplex system ensuresperfect protection against corrosion. It also allows an unmatchedrange of colours and designs. For architecture which will be lastingin every aspect.

Atomised spray test - first appearance of red rustMetallic coatings have varying resistance to exposure to salt. Theknown effectiveness of the coating protection of zinc-galvanisedsteel is excelled by other coil-coated steel strips available.
Steel building products applied in roofs and façades are perma-nently exposed to changing weather conditions. For this reason atThyssenKrupp special importance is attached to value-enhancingbut economic corrosion protection. At the same time however thedemands of architectural colour design must be met without losingsight of the need for adequate, long-lasting protection.
Our corrosion protection systems consist of co-ordinated layers ofmetallic coating (galvanised /ZMg EcoProtect®/ GALFAN® / GALVALUME®) plus an additional organic strip coating (PLADUR®)to increase corrosion protection (Duplex system). In addition to thiseconomically and ecologically sensible offer, our products can beproduced on request from other basic materials such as alu-minium or stainless steel.

ReflectionsCinc® - the appeal of steel.Zinc spangle creates a mobile, translucent play of colour onwhat is in reality a closed, solidsurface. The steel strip is firsttreated with an organic coatingwith a colour from the ReflectionsOne® range. In the next stage the zinc spanglepattern, also from the basic
colour range, is printed on that surface. The final protection isprovided by a coating of clear lacquer. The leading idea for theapplication of ReflectionsCinc® is that surfaces with movementappear much more natural; the more so if the observed surfaceis very large and its organisation is composed of small areas.

The Anti-drip Coating from ThyssenKrupp Bausysteme, a 1.5 mmthick fleece coating, prevents the dripping of condensation waterby absorbing and storing the moisture. In changing weather condi-tions, i.e. a rise in ambient temperature, the fleece releases themoisture into the atmosphere (by evaporation) and is then ready toabsorb again.
This system is able to take up the products of condensation duringcritical hours. After the condensation period however there mustalways be a drying period, since when the fibrous structure is sat-urated the water drops. The storage capacity of the fleece de-pends on the gradient of the roof and is 300 to 900 g water per m2. However the fleece coating cannot replace the proper ven-tilation of the underside of the trapezoidal sheet for example.
The fleece coating consists of a highly porous mineral granulate(polyester needle fleece), which is a neutral light grey and has aplaster-like surface structure.
Anti-drip CoatingThe innovative anti-weather protection. For Hoesch Trapezoidal Sheets.

We have the answer to graffiti sprayers: Building elements withAnti-graffiti Coating!
Graffiti is an ugly nuisance, which is very expensive to get rid of.Large areas of wall, depending on the region, are favourite "can-vases" for sprayers. To tackle the problem of graffiti you need aproduct which ThyssenKrupp Steel AG has put on the market: Lacquered steel strip, to which graffiti cannot adhere permanently.ThyssenKrupp Bausysteme uses this strip for steel façade ele-ments, among other things. The Anti-graffiti effect is created by aclear lacquer coating with a special additive. This additive preventsthe lacquer from a graffiti spray can, for example, from reactingwith the surface and adhering to it permanently. A graffiti sprayerdoes not immediately notice the effect. The use of this new sur-face only becomes apparent when it is cleaned: Graffiti can bewashed off quickly and easily with fresh water, without expensivepre-treatment.

Standard lengths6,000 mm, unless flashing is ordered otherwise (max. 8,000 mm). This is also the case for example for coping and corner profiles, which are only cut to the required length on site.
MountingIn normal industrial construction conditions flashings can bemounted with overlap. Bending back and folding of the flashingpieces must therefore be done on site. Overlapping joints will besealed during mounting using amino hardening sealant with a sili-con base.
Measurements and tolerancesAll measurements of our standard flashings are inside measure-ments, unless otherwise indicated in the drawings.• the tolerances are ± 2 mm on the transverse section (up to 2 mm
material thickness)• structural bearing flashings are of minimum S280GD• the thickness tolerances correspond to the basic material
according to DIN EN 10 143
Synthetic coatings can additionally be used for strip coating or piece lacquering. Forthis reason orders must always include instructions on the surfacefinish of sides A and B. Side A is generally the visible side.
Examples of orders:A = PLADUR® SP RAL 9001B = RSLorA = PLADUR® PVDF RAL 9001B = RSLorA + B piece lacquered special colour
For strip coating please select the available coating systems andcorresponding colours from the ThyssenKrupp Bausysteme colourcharts. For piece lacquering please order the colours as per RAL oras special colours; please ask about colours. The coating systemof flashings must agree on the visible side with the roof and wallconstruction parts, if the same colour is used.

Standard flashingsFrequently required flashings for construction are supplied asstandard parts. They are adapted to the ThyssenKrupp Bausys-teme construction parts in their geometry, the thickness of the ma-terial and the coating, and are collected in a separate brochure(Info 5.1.1 Flashings and Accessories). Standard flashings areonly ordered by part number, without a drawing. They are 6,000mm long, unless otherwise stated in the flashing description.
Special flashingsFlashings prepared to order are known as special flashings. Thesespecial flashings are individually drawn and ordered by you. Thedrawings should contain all measurements, angles and coating in-formation. Inside measurements must always be given. The maxi-mum producible length of sections is 8,000 mm. For informationon the possibilities of production and delivery, times, coatings, colours, minimum quantities and prices please ask us.
