Dairy Brigade Update! The question has been asked if FVS gets money for the dairy containers we have been collecting.Mrs. Gahagan of the Community Club has been actively working with Terracycle, the company who runs the recycling program. There was a misunderstanding on the company's part about our registration information. She continues to be in contact with them. We indeed will get $'s to benefit out students. Please keep sending in your clean dairy containers. We greatly appreciate all those that have been faithful in contributing.Terracycle will make new products from the plastic we send to them. We are also proud of our students for learningto recycle and actively doing so here at school.
ReminderT shirt, sweatshirt orders due by
Thursday, October 9th.
From the Principal’s Desk,
October already!
We had our Lirst Celebration on September 30th for the students who showed responsible behavior for the entire month of September. The students enjoyed time at the end of the day outside as a whole school. It was fun to see all the students outside interacting with one another in different areas talking, playing, and just having fun! We then came into the lobby to discuss our new character word of the month – Respect. We talked about what it looks like. The celebration next month will be held in different areas and students will sign up for what they want to do. They can give teachers ideas of activities.
I am also pleased to share with you EVERY classroom teacher has received a projector in their classroom. We were able to get three projectors with the money we earned from selling the FVS Posters and Linda Trenholm, our Technology Director, also was able to purchase three for us to get a projector in every room.
