Q: What makes Cervella different from other CES devices? A: We have seamlessly integrated the treatment electrodes into high-quality noise-cancelling headphones so that you can incorporate your treatment sessions into your lifestyle, not the other way around. Cervella is also the first app- controlled CES device that automatically records your treatment parameters for you to share with your health provider in order to improve treatment outcome. Cervella is the first and only cranial electrotherapy stimulator (CES) that allows you to receive treatment during work, study, or play! Q: How soon will I start feeling better? A: Most patients start feeling the positive effects of cranial electrotherapy stimulation within the first week. Note that results vary and are dependent on your condition. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting Cervella and follow the treatment plan as directed. Anxiety is often reduced after a single treatment but may reoccur so consistent treatment sessions are recommended. Many patients suffering from anxiety find it useful to use Cervella at the onset of anxiety or before a high stress situation. Patients with depression will often see improvements in a few weeks, but patients should continue to use Cervella as directed by their healthcare provider. Insomnia is often reduced after a single treatment but, like depression, consistent treatment sessions are recommended even when you are feeling better. When conditions improve, please use Cervella at reduced intervals or on an as-need basis as instructed by your healthcare provider. Q: Who should not use Cervella? A: Cervella should not be used by children without supervision. Cervella may affect the operation of implanted devices (e.g. cardiac pacemakers or defibrillators). Safety of stimulation has not been established for women who are pregnant. Always consult your healthcare provider before using Cervella.

How does Cranial ElectrotherapyStimulatorwork?

Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulators transmitsmall pulses of electric current acrosspatient’s brain via a pair of conductiveelectrodes placed on patient’s forehead, mastoidorearlobes.CESdeviceshavebeenin existence for several decades and arecleared by the FDA for treatment ofinsomnia, depression, and anxiety. Theyexhibit good efficacy (especially fortreatmentofanxietyandinsomnia)andhavenosignificantcontraindications.CESdevicespresent a very good alternative to drugtreatmentsespeciallyforpatientsthateitherexhibit low efficacy with drug-basedtherapies or experience significant sideeffectswiththedrugs(usuallySSRIs).

During a treatment session, which typicallylasts 30 minutes, patients suffering fromanxiety, insomnia, and depression willexperiencereductionofanxietyimmediatelypost-treatmentandimprovedsleeppatterns(insomnia reduction). Longer-term use hasbeen clinically validated to have a positiveeffect on reducing patient’s depressivemood.

Results: Analysis of covariancerevealed a significant differencebetween the active CES group andthe sham CES group on anxiety(p=0.001, d=0.94) and ondepression (p=0.001, d=0.78) frombaseline to endpoint of study infavoroftheactiveCESgroup.

Conclusions: CES significantlydecreases anxiety and comorbiddepression.
