• Save selected unsaved searches/analysis results

• Create/edit a collaborator group

• Upload your own file, Ex., FASTA, PDB, Phylip, Newick.

• Download data • Copy selected working sets • Convert the selected working

set into a new working set with a different data type

• Combine the selected working set with an uploaded file

• Combine multiple working sets together

Select a working set/search/analysis from the Workbench and mouse-over the Sharing button to share items with

collaborators who have a ViPR Workbench account. You can also make items public, or change sharing setting.

Click the “Workbench” tab

to access your Workbench

Click to display the item along with the relevant options: • For working sets, you can select sequences and run analyses by mousing-

over the “Run Analysis” menu and then clicking the desired analysis tool. • For searches, click to rerun the search and view the search results. • For analyses, click to retrieve the analysis result.

Select working sets, searches, or analyses and organize them in folders

Share items with collaborators 1. Check the checkbox next to the item that you want to share. 2. Mouse-over the Sharing button to share the item with

collaborators who already have a ViPR Workbench account. You can also make items public, or change sharing setting.

Save an unsaved search 1. Check the checkbox next to the search that you want to

save. 2. Click the “More Actions” button, then “Save Unsaved

Searches”. Upload your own data to ViPR and run an analysis 1. Click the “More Actions” button on the Workbench page. 2. Click “Upload File”, type in a Name and description, choose

a “File Type” (e.g., PDB, Phylip, Newick, FASTA, tab delimited), then click “Choose File” to find the file to be uploaded and click “Upload”.

3. After the upload process is finished, you’ll be taken to the Workbench page. Find the file you just uploaded and click

next to it. 4. On the next page, mouse-over the blue “Run Analysis”

button at the top of the page to view available analysis options for your file.
