Logging In For The First Time
The first time you login to FRED you will need to enter your Username
(which will be your surname and the first letter of your first name) and your
Password (which will be set by default to
password). Then click Log In to continue.
The first page you will be taken to will require you to add in your
Email Address and Mobile Phone number. You will not be able
to continue until you have done this.
You should also take this chance to make sure the rest of the
details on this screen are correct.
Once you are happy with your details click
Update Profile.
You will see a green box confirming your
details have been saved; then click
Continue.
4
At this point you will be forced to change your
password. Enter password in the Current

give you an overview of the course and beneath
that you will see the Workshop section, which
shows a list of courses that need to be completed
are part of the learning.
Next to the course name is a grey box—this icon
will have a tick in it to indicate which courses you
have completed.
Under each course name is the View All Sessions
button.
How To Access Learning
Clicking on the name of the course in the Workshop or clicking on the View All Sessions button will allow you to
see the dates and times of all upcoming sessions as well as how many spaces are available.
After you have attended the face-to-face session
you can then complete the assessment for it, if it is
required.
Assessments are e-learning based and can be
accessed by going back to the Course Details
Screen, scrolling down to the Assessment section
and clicking on the module name.
This will launch the module in a new window.

To access stand alone e-learning courses you go
through the same process as accessing face-to-
face courses, and go into the Course Details
Screen.
Here you will see an overview of the e-learning,
and all the modules that it contains.
To access the module, click on the name of the course to view the Launch
Screen.
Here you will see:
How many attempts you have to pass the e-learning

The Enter button to start the e-learning
Clicking the Enter button will launch the e-learning
module in a new window. You can exit the e-learning at
any time by closing the window, however this will be
marked as an attempt.
You will have 3 attempts at each e-learning module, and if
you do not pass within those attempts you will be locked
out of it.
If this happens you will need to talk to your manager
about how to proceed and any additional support you
may require in order to complete the e-learning.
8
When you have completed your e-learning you
have 2 ways of exiting, depending on which e-
learning you are doing.
If you are working through the End of Assess-
ment then you will need to close the window
manually by clicking the close cross on the win-
dow tab.
If you are working through the stand-alone e-
learning then when you reach the end you can
use the Exit Quiz button.
