    Note: It is recommended that each student take a minimum of

  • PARCC TESTS o  First Administration- Spring 2015

    ¢  Six new PARCC tests: Language Art tests in grades 9, 10 & 11, and math tests for Geometry, Algebra I and Algebra II.

    ¢  Scores will be reported on student transcripts and school performance reports, but there will not be a passing score required for graduation.

    ¢  HSPA and the AHSA, will disappear after the class of 2015 (current juniors) graduates.

  • SCHEDULING TIMELINE- SPRING 2014

    • Initial course request material will be mailed in the spring to be verified by parent. • Final recommendations regarding student placement are due May 2014, which gives students ample opportunity to demonstrate ability level.

      Class cancellations will be addressed on an ongoing basis once the master schedule is determined.

      Schedule and/or placement changes WILL NOT be made after July 25, 2014.

      Final schedules will be available on Genesis before the first day of school.

  • HELPFUL HINTS FOR A SUCCESSFUL APPOINTMENT 1.  Review course

    selections prior to appointment.

    2.  Choose three alternative electives for each elective selected.

    3.  Come prepared with questions.

    4.  Remind your children to be prepared for their appointment as their presence is key to this process.
