Course requests will be accessed through the STUDENT or PARENT PORTALIf you have previously logged on, you will use your current user name and password If you have logged on and have forgotten your password you must call (636) 851-HELP Any students who have not gone into their portal account can get in by using their student ID number as their username. Their password will be the first initial of their first and last name and birthdate in 6 digits (jj012795).The portal will be open until Jan. 24th – don’t delay! If you don’t go online and register you will not be assured of getting the courses you want!!!

O.S.S.R. – Online Student Schedule Requests Yr 2014 1- Select Course Registration 2014 2- Begin at: Course Search 3- Search By: Enter a partial Course Name (or leave it blank) then GO 4- Click on the specific course you wish to view (Course Description then becomes visible) 5- Select REQUEST THIS COURSE 6- Repeat these steps for each Course Request / Begin again at Course Search (item 2 above) 7- UNITS Must Equal ( 14 / 14 ) for a Complete Schedule ( 7 courses Sm1 & 7 courses Sm2 )

Each year long class you pass (2 semesters) = 1.0 credit

→ You must pass all of these classes in addition to earning 24 credits. If you fail a required class, you must retake it until you pass .

Elective Course→ Courses you choose to take for credit but not specifically required for

graduation.

→ If you fail an elective it is not necessary to retake it for credit.

St. Charles Community College, UMSL or Lindenwood.

Only college credits are earned for these courses, no high school credit.

• Enrollees must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA• Students must be at FHN at least 4 periods

REQUIREMENTS for CUM LAUDE Recognition

Credits Required:– 27 credits required

Successfully complete four credits in each of the Core areas (Math, Communication Arts, Science and Social Studies)

Earn “Proficient” and/or “Advanced” rating on three out of four End of Course (EOC’s) exams

Score minimum of 27 ACT

Students will wear a medallion and Cum Laude honors will be announced at graduation Summa Cum Laude – Gold medallion Magna Cum Laude – Silver medallion Cum Laude – Bronze medallion

A seal will be placed on diploma indicating the appropriate honor.
