Fotostrasse started as a photography project by Marcela Faé and Felipe Tofani. Our idea was to inspire people from all over the world that live in Berlin and don’t really know the city. Our idea was to mix our passion for photography together with the fact that, since we never lived in Berlin before, we needed to explore where wedecided to call home.

We started everything with photo meetups, but Fotostrasse became more than just a photo meetup really fast since we started getting invitations to explore other cities and so we decided to transform the project into the travel blog you all know.

With our blog, we can document our trips and explorations around the world and share our experiences with.

Our first blog trip started right after we started blogging. Umeå was our first destination but we didn’t stop there.

Bari, Polignano A Mare, Catellana, Alberobello, Dresden, Poznan, Viena, Bratislava, Porvoo, Helsinki, Manila, Belo Horizonte, Tagbilaran, Panglao, Oslob, Baguio, São Paulo, Wroclaw, Cebu City, these are a few places we visited in 2014.

We are looking forward to travel even more in 2015!

WHO IS BEHIND FOTOSTRASSE?

Marcela Faé fell in love with photography back in 2002 and, after that, had her work shownin Germany, Brazil and United States.

She visited over four continents and needs to swim in every ocean on Earth.

Felipe Tofani has been working with design, advertising and content creation for over ten years.

He believes that history is an important part of every trip he has ever done. He loves to research and to include this side of things to his articles.

Three years ago, we gave up our brazilian life to explore all that the world has to offer. We decided to set place in Berlin and use this amazing city as a base to travel around the world.

Fotostrasse started back in january 2013 and, since then, had a steady healthy growth.

During the last 90 days, Fotostrasse had a little over 110.000 visitors with an average of 2,3 pages per visit.

A little over half of our visitors are women and 60% of everyone that visits Fotostrasse is between 25 and 34 years old.

The majority of them are based between in Germany, Poland, Finland, United States and United Kingdom.

The year was 1990 and the Berlin Wall had just fall. And somebody decided to go to Berlin and explore the city with his camera. Now, you can see what he filmed on a series of youtube videos.
