which assist in the process of
translation. It, also, aims at
providing students with practical
training on these translation tools
and softwares. Students are also
trained to get acquainted with e-
dictionaries and the web sites related
to the field.

In this course, students are expected to
practice the consecutive and bilateral
interpreting of a wide range of long and
short speeches/talks in both directions
(English/Arabic & Arabic/English). The
main focus will be placed on resolving
the various problems and difficulties
encountered in this type of interpreting,
with a special focus on terminology,
lexical borrowing and coinages,
abbreviations and acronyms, and
Arabicization.

The students are provided with vocabulary related to specific areas of life included in the textbook such as food, types of sports, holidays, professions, etc. The course also aims to improve students' reading of simple texts, their comprehension skills in this respect and oral expression in specific communicative situations such as rejection, acceptance, telephone messages, service requesting appointments, invitations, restaurants, and so on. The course also aims to develop the student’s writing skills by training them to write on simple topics.
