LOCATION AND AMENITIES

WHITE OAK CROSSING Completed in 2003 and located just 1/4 mile from Timber Drive Professional Park, White Oak Crossing is one of the largest retail centers in the Raleigh metropolitan area. Totaling over 710,000 square feet White Oak Crossing is anchored by prominent national retailers such as BJ's Wholesale Club, Kohl's, PetSmart, Dick's Sporting Goods, Pier 1 Imports, Rack Room Shoes, Target and Best Buy. THE OUTER LOOP The Triangle Expressway (I-540) Southeast Extension project began in 1997 and has over 30 miles of completed freeway in a radius around Raleigh. The next phase of the loop will extend from Highway 55 in Apex to I-40 near Greenfield North. There are currently five different routes being considered by the North Carolina Turnpike Authority. Two of the routes being considered would have the Triangle Expressway intersecting with I-40 within one mile to the East of Timber Drive Professional Park. The remaining proposed routes would bring an interchange to Garner located no further than five miles from Timber Drive Professional Park.

White Oak Crossing is a 710,000 square foot power retail center anchored by BJ's Wholesale Club, Kohl's Department Store, PetSmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Pier 1 Imports, Rack Room Shoes, Target, Best Buy, TJ Maxx, Ross Dress for Less, Party Town, Staples, Zaxby's, Michael’s, Sheetz, Red Robin and Long Horn Steakhouse. The center is located on the corner of Interstate 40 and Highway 70 in Garner, N.C. The first Cabela’s in the state opened in White Oak in April 2015. The 150,000 square-foot outdoors mega-store put 3.6 million people in White Oak’s potential market. Also planned is the development of about 300 acres, across White Oak Road from the current shopping center, and south of U.S. 70. The investment is estimated at $80 million.

AMAZON 2.6 MILLION SQUARE FOOT DISTRIBUTION CENTER

Town of Garner officials are hailing Amazon’s selection of the Garner Technology Center as the location for a new 2.6-million-square-foot, state-of-the-art distribution center.

The Seattle-based e-commerce company will invest approximately $200 million in the site located on Jones Sausage Road just off I-40 in Garner, NC. The investment will create an estimated 1,500 jobs, making the distribution center Garner’s largest employer. Amazon hopes to open the center by fall 2019.

Others partnering with the Town on this project include Wake County, Wake County Economic Development, the North Carolina Community College System and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina.“Wake County’s skilled workforce, outstanding schools and high quality of life make it the perfect place for Amazon to locate this facility,” Wake County Manager David Ellis said. “When we, as a board, made economic strength one of our goals, we envisioned attracting companies like Amazon to our community, so we can work together to offer skilled workers new employment and training opportunities that will lead to career growth and high quality of life,” said Jessica Holmes, chairwoman of the Wake County Board of Commissioners.

“Amazon is obviously a stable, fast-growing company, and they will be in this community for the long haul,” Stallings said. “We are thrilled to welcome the company to our community, and we know they will be a great addition to Garner.”
