It was the first time everyone was well and they could stay a few days. The grandparents got a chance to see the nursery with a giant mural wrapping around the room. Lots of pictures were taken, mainly of a sleeping Troy, but they did get to visit with son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Anastasia Knotts. Things were getting a little dry going into late April. This shower should bring on the May flowers. First Sunday In May Mark your calendars for the first Sunday in May. Muldoon is a happening place on Sunday, May 5. The Ray and Williford families are gathering at the Mul- doon Fellowship Center (formal- ly known as the Muldoon United Methodist Church) located just behind the Muldoon Communi- ty Park starting at 10 a.m. There are plans for lots of visiting, fol- lowed by lots of eating. Plans are for the pot luck lunch to start around 11 a.m. This gives lots of time to reconnect prior to the next event of the day. The Pitman Cemetery Me- morial service is also on the first Sunday in May. This annual gathering of family and friends of those who are laid to rest in Pitman will begin at 2:30 p.m. The services will be held in the chapel. Out And About Once again, my old col- lege buddy, Alayna Kidd, came in for a quick visit while in the area. This time, she was passing through on the way to Freder- icksburg for the monthly trade days there. Pam Sheffield went to Hou- ston to celebrate her grand- daughter, Hayley Hudson’s, tenth birthday. Hayley’s mom, Sarah Holland, and sister, Alli- son Williford, all met at Sarah’s house for the birthday celebra- tion, which began with going out for Mexican food. They were joined by Sarah’s husband, Grey, and their son, Benjamin. Joining in on the fun was Al- lison’s husband, Dawson. Fol- lowing the meal, the girls all returned to Sarah’s for dessert , a movie and a slumber party. The next day Pam, Hayley, Sarah and Allison had fun with Paints on a Canvas, then had lunch in the Woodlands. After lunch, Hayley was treated to a birthday party at a Kendra Scott store, where she picked out a necklace and all the ladies enjoyed cookies and lemonade while they shopped. Following all the partying, Pam slipped over to Cypress to spend a few days with her mom, Nora Morris. Devon Boehnke, along with daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Darrell Kulak, drove down to Wharton to spend Palm Sun- day with the family and enjoy an early Easter celebration. They gathered at the home of Devon middle daughter and son-in- law, April and Kenneth Pospisil, along with loads of other family members. Ill There have been a few in the area who have been suffering from allergies and colds with all the crazy spring weather. Be sure and check on your neigh- bors, especially the elderly ones, to make sure everyone is doing ok. There have even been a few reports of the flu still lingering, so take care out there. There have been a few in the area who have been suffering from allergies and colds with all the crazy spring weather. Be sure and check on your neigh-bors, especially the elderly ones, to make sure everyone is doing ok. There have even been a few reports of the flu still lingering, so take care out there.
