Day 1 January 6 – New York, USA

Your experience begins as you join your fellow travelers todepart from New York to the Holy Land on an overnight flight.

Day 2 January 7 – Holy Land

You will be welcomed at the airport by an EO representativeand a Foundation for Evangelism staff member. Journey bymotorcoach to Caesarea by the Sea, and stand in the placewhere it is believed Paul addressed King Herod and Festus.Explore extensive ruins along the Mediterranean shore.Complete your day by enjoying dinner with your fellowtravelers before resting.

Day 3, January 8 – Christ as a Child

Visit Nazareth, Jesus’ boyhood home, and the Mount ofPrecipice, where Jesus was rejected by those in thesynagogue. Travel the ancient caravan route to Tel Megiddo,where twenty different cities lie superimposed upon eachother. Then it’s on to the magnificent ruins of Beit Shean tosee the impressive excavations of Scythopolis, one of the tencities of the Decapolis.

Day 4, January 9 – Jesus of Galilee

This morning, pray and sing hymns as you cross the watersof the Sea of Galilee by boat. Envision Christ and the disciplescrossing the sea as you view a 2,000-year-old sailing vessel,discovered at kibbutz Nof Ginosar. Visit the Church of the Fishand the Loaves at Tabgha, the traditional location for thefeeding of the 5,000. At the Mount of Beatitudes, hear thewords of the Sermon on the Mount. Your next stop isCapernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry. Not far away is

Bethsaida, where Jesus chose five ofHis disciples. End your day byreaffirming your baptism whereJesus was baptized in the RiverJordan.

Day 5, January 10 – The Northern Kingdom

Walk the streets of Chorizema, listedas a “city of woe” by Jesus. Visit theancient remains of Tel Dan and thealtar built by King Jeroboam I.Journey to Caesarea Philippi, whereJesus traveled with His disciples.Nearby is where Peter made hisgreat confession to Jesus, “Thou arethe Christ, the Son of the living God.”See Mount Hermon, and travel

through the Golan Heights to better understand their strategicimportance to the security of Israel.

Day 6, January 11– Walking the Way of the Good Samaritan

Enjoy a visit to Masada, Herod’s mountaintop fortress andfamous final stronghold of the Jewish rebellion. Ride the cablecar to the top to explore the fortress. On the way back toJerusalem, stop at the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest spoton earth. Those who desire to do so may take a quick dip inthe mineral-laden waters. Visit Qumran, site of the Dead SeaScroll discovery, and learn about the mysterious communityof the Essenes. From Jericho, you can see the traditional siteof the Temptation of Jesus. Even today, the road from Jerichoto Jerusalem twists for miles as it climbs from below sea levelinto the Judean mountains. Jesus traveled the nearby Romanroad, the setting of His parable of the Good Samaritan.

Day 7, January 12 – Birth of the Good News

In Bethlehem, visit the cave where Jesus was born as well asthe church that was constructed on the site. Nearby, you will seeShepherds’ Field, where the Good News was first heard. VisitBethlehem Bible College; see the work of this Christianinstitution, and understand the trials of today’s PalestinianChristian population. Deepen your understanding of theJerusalem of Jesus’ day with a look at the First Century Modelof the City of Jerusalem, now housed at the Israel Museum.

Day 8, January 13 – The Way of the Cross

Visit Jerusalem, where you will see the Temple Mount, once thesite of the Solomon’s Temple. See the only remnant of theSecond Temple of Jerusalem—the Western Wall—and sit on theTeaching Steps, believed to be where Jesus would teach. Walkthe Via Dolorosa, “The Way of the Cross,” and stand inreverence at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Tonight you willgather with your fellow travelers, E. Stanley Jones Professors ofEvangelism, and Foundation for Evangelism leaders for abanquet and a time of commitment.

Day 9 January 14 – The Passion and the Resurrection

Stand atop the Mount of Olives as Jesus did, and enjoy aremarkable view of the “Golden City” of Jerusalem. Forty daysafter His resurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven from theMount of Olives. Continue to Mount Zion to visit where Jesuswas questioned at the House of the High Priest Caiaphas. TheLast Supper comes to life as you visit the Upper Room, and yourfinal destination will allow time for reflection at the Garden Tomb.

Day 10 January 15 – Return Home

Return home transformed and ready to “go and make disciplesof all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and ofthe Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19).
