Flying Trestles look forward to providing a wonderful day of dining pleasure

for you and your guests. Our focus is to ensure that you have the highest

quality food, service and event management so that you can relax and enjoy

your day. We can provide all the front of house staff wait staff and if you’re

operating a bar staff for that too.

Flying Trestles has been operating since 1990 and has a rich history of "on

location" catering service to the movie and TV commercial industry,

weddings, conferences, corporate and sporting events in New Zealand.

We are located in Queenstown, Central Otago in the south island and

Waiuku, in the Franklin district of Auckland in the north Island. We can

operate effectively anywhere in New Zealand due to our mobile

commercial kitchen trucks and portable equipment.

We have 5 fully equipped mobile kitchens. Each kitchen is self-contained,

equipped with its own generator, water, gas and waste tanks, walk in

refrigerator plus a freezer, six hob gas ovens and dishwasher. We also have

modular field kitchens that can be flown by helicopter into remote

locations.

As professional caterers, our objective is to provide superb, innovative cuisine at affordable

prices and to work within your budget requirements. We are also happy to cater to your

dietary needs and any special requests you may have.

Our menu options are available for your perusal. You may be interested to know that we

have our own lamb, some of which is merino and bred on organic principles; and our

herbs and spices are also sourced from our farm wherever possible. We use free range

chicken, and our salmon is sourced from Stewart Island, Mt Cook or Marlborough (subject

to availability). We make everything ourselves, wherever possible, as we are very

passionate about flavours!

Additional ServicesWe provide all the necessary staff including a Front of House manager to fully cater and

service your function, event or special occasion. We have a fabulous team of people who

are very experienced and provide an extremely high level of service. The cost of our staff

are very competitive and are charged on a hourly basis so you only pay for the hours

they work.

• Wait / Bar staff –

(serve food, drinks and set up & pack down) $25 p/h

• Front of House Manager –

(manages all staff & liaises with Chefs & MC, so that your food

comes to the table on time and fits in with the day’s timings) $30 p/h

Staff are kept on to suit the schedule of requirements so the cost is dependent on what is
