    Check in

    Make up sentences

    Purpose:

    To review structure and vocabulary previously taught.

    To create an atmosphere of fun and interacon.

    Procedure:

    Access the icon game in the mulmedia.

    Explain to Ss they will have to help Chloe get the ice-cream by discovering the passwords and they will have to makesentences with each password.

    Divide the class into 2 groups.

    Ss choose a representave of each group.

    The groups representaves will play odds & evens to decide who will start.

    It works like Hangman, that is, if a group picks the correct leer, they should keep on trying. If the leer they pick isincorrect, its the other groups turn.

    Aer all 3 words are discovered, give them 3 minutes to write sentences using the words discovered.

    At 3 minutes, say STOP.

    Call the representaves of each group to read the sentences created. These sentences must be correct, otherwise theywont score.

    The group which presents more correct sentences is the winner.

    Remember to give the winner group of Ss a prize for their accomplishment.

    Purpose

    To work with comparave (superiority and inferiority).

    Procedures

    Access the Game icon. (On the screen there are six images and 2 boxes wrien New York and Los Angeles.)

    Tell Ss to form 2 groups and choose a representave.

    The groups representaves will play odds & evens to decide who starts the game.

    Ask the group that will start to choose a number.

    Ask the group which adjecve is represented in the picture.

    Ask: Which is more(adjecve) - New York or Los Angeles?

    The group should give the correct answer in complete form (correct city and correct sentence structure).

    Divide the group in 2 teams.

    Click on all numbers, one by one (wait unl the picture vanishes) and tell Ss to memorize the acons and the numbers.

    Aer you have clicked on all 8 pictures, close the screen and then go back to it so that all pictures are closed again.

    Ask team 1 to chose a number. Dont click on the picture yet. Ask: What were they doing?

    The Ss from team 1 should give you a complete answer, trying to remember what the people on the picture were doing.

    Click on the picture/number chosen to check their answer.

    If they get it right, they score 2 points.

    If they dont get it right, ask the whole group what the correct answer is. In this case the other group cant scorebecause the picture has already been revealed.
