CONCRETE LINE ADMIXTURES FOR INDUSTRIAL CONCRETE FLOORING FLUIPAV 501 SUPERPLASTICIZER SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR INDUSTRIAL CONCRETE FLOORING When the concrete is properly prepared the use of FLUIPAV 501 permits: A significant reduction in the Water / Cement ratio resulting in reduced drying shrinkage and curling. The preparation of concrete with consistency class S5 (slump 21 - 24) while at the same time preventing the risk of segregation and bleeding of the mix. FLUIPAV 501 provides workability times of between 2 to 3 hours and a finishing time of 5 hours even at temperatures below 10°C. Improved pumpability of the mix, making it easier to finish the surface and incorporate the sand finish, thanks to the presence of surface tension modifiers. A reduction in setting times thus reducing the time required for installation and floating of the concrete. An increase in the mechanical strength, waterproof properties and durability of the concrete. A reduction in bleeding, segregation and cracking phenomena, thanks to the ideal balance between fluidifying and cohesive properties. It prevents the hardening of the surface layer (false set). Used in combination with PRESIDIO SRA internal curing it reduces plastic and drying shrinkage in particularly unfavourable climatic conditions. FLUIPAV 501 is an admixture specifically formulated for concrete floors that exploits DRACO’s considerable experience in industrial flooring. Product development focused on management of the setting time, pumpability and cohesion of the mix to ensure superior quality when laying the flooring. FLUIPAV 501SUPERPLASTICIZER SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR INDUSTRIAL CONCRETE FLOORING

When the concrete is properly prepared the use of FLUIPAV 501 permits:

FLUIPAV 501 is used at a dosage of 1 to 1.6 kg per 100 kg of cement depending on the type of cement used as well as the features of the aggregates and the required performance of the fl ooring installed.

CONSUMPTION

✓ FLUIPAV 501 used in combination with FIBERBETON fi bres enables you to control cracking.

✓ In dry climates and for surfaces that are particularly exposed to windy or sunny conditions we advise using FLUIPAV 501 in combination with the internal curing product PRESIDIO SRA, a shrinkage-compensating admixture that regulates the evaporation of mixing water (internal curing) thus allowing proper curing by limiting plastic shrinkage and drying shrinkage.

✓ FLUIPAV 501 is compatible with all types and classes of concrete and with the full range of DRACO additives.

COMPATIBILITY

WORKABILITY OVER TIME

The use of FLUIPAV 501 in the concrete allows you to maintain the workability obtained with the admixture over a period of time that will vary depending on the type of cement, the amount of admixture used and the temperature. At temperatures between 10 °C and 55 °C, FLUIPAV 501 ensures workability of approx. 2-3 hours. Finishing time may vary from 5 to 7 hours depending on the amount of admixture and cement used the ambient temperature and the temperature of the concrete, as well as the presence of a vapour barrier. Loss of workability occurs gradually. Technical trial on the building site will indicate exact use.

FLUIPAV 501 is packaged as follows:

- 25 kg can

- 230 kg drum

- 1000 kg IBC

- Bulk in road tanker

FLUIPAV 501 is frost sensitive and should be stored in a closed and protected environment. If exposed at temperatures below 2°C it must be heated and re-mixed before use. If kept in its original packaging and properly stored under cover in a dry place, the product maintains its characteristics for a year.

PACKAGING AND STORAGE

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

FLUIPAV 501 should be added into the cement-mixer with the mixing water once the other components have already been mixed. Optimum performance is ensured by adding FLUIPAV 501 to the concrete once it is wet (moist mix) and at least 80% of the required mixing water has already been added. FLUIPAV 501 must not be poured onto dry aggregates and cement as this would result in poor performance as the admixture would be absorbed by the aggregates.

It is advisable to take precautions to protect the concrete from rapid drying out ast er casting, especially in dry and windy conditions. In order to obtain the best results we recommend using PROBETON CURING N and the anti-dust curing membrane EPOCURING.

In order to obtain optimum technical and working results concrete with predetermined resistance (Rck) used for the work described in the present specifi cation will be admixed with the superplasticizer and accelerator FLUIPAV 501 produced by Draco Italiana SpA. FLUIPAV 501 conforms to the following standards: UNIEN 934-2 and ASTMC 494 type F. The admixture must be used in accordance with the recommendations of the Manufacturer, DRACO Italiana SpA, which will provide technical assistance from qualifi ed personnel on request.
