Objectives

1. To enable student to have clearer and better understanding in the topics covered in lectures by knowing their applications and problems solving.

2. To build up student’s presentation skill in their works.3. To build up their problem solving skills by using software.

Rules/ Conditions

1. Early submission is preferable.2. Late submission will be accepted with condition. Without any

rigid reason students will only entitle half of the marks obtained. Eg. instead of obtained 80%, they will only entitle 40%.

3. Any references must be acknowledged with Harvard Referencing System.

4. Any works without being acknowledged will consider as plagiarism. Student may get a fail grade. Students may use the tool (SafeAssign) that is available in CeL to check their works to avoid plagiarism. Keep the similarity index as low as possible (less than 20% is acceptable).

5. Any works are found similar more than 50% from other group(s) will consider as copy. Both groups will only eligible to get half of their maximum marks.

25 November, 2013, Friday (5th Week of the Semester)

Assessment Criteria

All marks will be converted into 50% of coursework.

Instructions

1. This is a group assignment. 2 to 3 persons in a group. 2. Students are allowed for open discussion but not for copying

from each other.3. Report must be printed and submit only ONE group report.

Hand writing is prohibited.4. Report (in .pdf format) and Excel file are required to submit

electronically to CeL. Students are reminded that the calculations in Excel are part of the assessment and to be evaluated individually. Whoever fails to submit or late submission, marks will be deducted accordingly.
