ASSESSMENT There are no prerequisites for this unit. PREREQUISITES COURSE OUTLINE This unit of competency is a naonally accredited course that provides the skills and knowledge required to use various first aack fire equipment in emergency situaons. This unit of competency covers: Correct use of portable fire exnguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets Apply manufacturers techniques for operaon of fire fighng equipment Fire emergency response Understanding the principle of fire including the triangle of combuson Legislave requirements LEGISLATION / COMPLIANCE Fire and Emergency Services Act 1990 Building Fire Safety Regulaon 2008 Fire and Emergency Services Regulaon 2011 WHO SHOULD ATTEND This unit applies to all persons who may be required to respond to fire in a range of situaons including community and workplace sengs. LOCATION OF TRAINING Our training centre is located at 12 Lile Bramston Street Gladstone. Alternately courses can be booked for any locaon where appropriate facilies can be provided. RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING There are provisions for RPL within the context of this training course. Please ask our administrator.
