The Arctic Monkeys are a British indie-rock band that have been around since 2002. They have released over 5 studio albums and their debut album was the fastest-selling debut album in British music history (by a band). The band have won 7 Brit awards and were nominated for a Grammy award twice. The arctic monkeys were known as the first band to come in to the public eye through the internet

The development of the band has not been without it’s ups and downs. The third album, ‘Humbug’ was one that took time to appreciate. For some The band have never been that good at live performances. However, their recent performance at Glastonbury has rectified this, throughout their career their confidence has grown therefore making them more edgy. The tradition continues that the Arctic Monkeys have constantly churned out good music. The old fans of the band must now learn to accept that the growth of the band now means that they are only likely to be seen playing in the stadiums and arenas of the world. The band is more exciting than ever and no other band that is five albums in classes themselves as ‘just getting started’.
