Description Easy Fix Skim Coat is cement based on finish skim coat formulated to provide high quality smooth surface finish. Suitable for concrete /cement panel, aerated light weight block and skim plastered surface. Easy Fix Skim Coat is supplied as a ready to use blend of dry powder which requires only the site addition of clean water to produce a highly consistent cementitious skimming mortar. The material is based on a blend of cements, graded aggregates, special fillers and chemical additives to provide the material with good handling characteristic. Easy Fix Skim Coat has been tested by SIRIM BHD, in accordance to ETRC 257/16/1045 (R050/12), on Material Safety Data Sheet for physical properties. Uses Easy Fix Skim Coat is designed for use as a skim finish that provides a smooth, seamless finish for walls and ceilings. Application Instructions Surface Preparation Ensure the surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of oil, grease, dust and loose particles. For dry or high absorbing substrates, moisten the surface with water prior to application. Mixing Easy Fix Skim Coat should be mixed in accordance to recommend mixing water until a smooth, creamy, lump free consistency is obtained. Mixing water is approx 7.00 – 8.00 litres per one bag (25 kg). Mix with mechanical mixer for at least 3 to 5 minutes. Application Apply the product paste at a thickness of approximately 1mm using a steel trowel. It should apply with minimum of working and trowel to an even and smooth surface. The thin films to dry for 5 to 30 minutes (depending upon the substrate porosity, temperature and humidity). The surfaces are joined with a firm pressure for at few seconds. Ensure the assembly not to trap any air. Prolonged pressure is not necessary. On very absorbing surfaces it can be necessary to apply the adhesive twice.

Protection/Curing A 1mm thin film should takes 5 – 30 minutes for dry-to-touch. Full strength is obtained after approximately 48 hours. Precaution should be taken during its drying time. It should protect from direct rain, dirt, oil grease or either looses material and any mechanical damage. Cleaning of Tools Easy Fix Skim Coat should be removed from tools, equipment and mixers with clean water immediately after use. Cured material can only be removed mechanically. Packing & Size

Easy Fix Skim Coat has a shelf life of 12 months in an unopened container. If stored in extreme heat condition, the shelf life may be reduced. Precaution Easy Fix Skim Coat contains cement powders which might be harmful to the skin. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves, eye protection and respiratory protective equipment. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. If swallowed. Seek medical attention immediately do not induce vomiting.
