neighbor island forms• Andres: Ice-breaker – purpose is to get to
know each other for future networking and sharing of resources or information
1. To provide school leaders with the necessary tools and training to successfully implement the Hawaii Content and Performance Standards III.
2. To give Visual Arts, Music, Drama, and Dance coordinators an opportunity to develop integrated lessons for elementary level and non-integrated lessons for secondary level (these lessons should help you and other teachers with gathering evidence of student work and GLOs)

3. To establish a network of leaders who can share ideas and work together to solve mutual problems
4. Share information on standards-based grade books, performance standards, and other Fine Arts-related initiatives.(aik)
End Product
At end of the day, everyone will turn in an individual lesson plan that you will implement and collect student work in the form of pictures or recordings. We will return the lesson plan to you after we have reviewed it.(aik)

Assignment for the Day
• Break-up into groups:• K-5 by grade level• Secondary by content area and course • Review standards and GLOs• Develop a lesson plan which you will implement and
collect student work• Turn in lesson today for documentation and we will
return it back to you after we review it.• For Secondary Teachers, give input to Benchmark Maps (al)
Resources • Sample lessons plans• Videos of lessons• Lesson Templates, Condensed version of HCPS III,
GLOs, Handouts on CPS and “Big Ideas” • Integrated chart for Gr. K-5• For secondary, there is a Benchmark Map that we would
like your input before you start on a lesson• For music teachers, there is a Music Assessment booklet
by MENC which can be used as reference information (al)
