for having four ele-
mentary schools, Mendota, Falk, Glen-
dale, and Haw-thorne selected to
participate in Disney Musicals in Schools.
They were awarded
a grant for develop-ing theater pro-

Wisconsin School for the Deaf in Delavan
created ornaments for the 94th Annual Na-
tional Christmas Tree
display in Washington DC. The theme for the

The National Coalition for Core Arts Stand-ards (NCCAS) and SEADAE launched the standards in June 2014. Wisconsin has
not adopted these standards at this time. However, please review the standards in the areas of art, dance, media arts, music, and theatre, visit http://
www.nationalartsstandards.org/. The current Wisconsin Academic Learning Standards are online at: Art
and Design Education, Dance Education, Music Education, Theatre Education. Districts are free to consider the new standards in their work if they choose. Check the April newsletter for more information.
Model Cornerstone Assessments for the National Core Arts Standards in each of the arts areas have been drafted. Check the samples online - Dance, Media Arts, Music, Theatre, Visual Arts.
