Find a Warehouse Quick-start Guide

Overview/History IWLA, the resource for warehouse logistics, offers its members a tool that helps prospective customers find out about the specific services members offer. “Find a Warehouse” is the place for these prospects to discover more about the warehouse-based 3PLs that are IWLA member organizations.

IWLA invests in Google Ad Words to increase traffic to the “Find a Warehouse” tool. Resulting in higher traffic to the tool and your website. In addition there is an “RFI” button - that sends the primary contact email alerts “Request for Information Alert from IWLA” when a prospective customer is interested in your services. IWLA is dedicated helping you get noticed and your success.

correct. 3. Choose as many of the business-service and certification options that apply to the warehouse. (IWLA has iden-

tified many business areas and certifications that are common in the warehouse logistics industry. These are reflected in the choices. These will allow for more parallel searches and better data for the end user to see about your company.)

4. Add a company logo. 5. Add a company description/bio.6. Add a YouTube video. 7. Save your changes. 8. If you are the primary contact in your company, you will also have the opportunity approve/verify additional

How Does My Warehouse Become Part of “Find a Warehouse”? As an automatic IWLA member benefit, the warehouse-member “primary” location is pre-loaded into the “Find a Warehouse” tool. When you first search for your company, only the primary (headquarters) location on file at IWLA will appear. Your company needs to add in additional warehouses.

Notice the search results (listings) below is very basic in format and content. To be truly effective, each warehouse will need to populate the system with more information. How can you do this?

Basic listing — missing logo.

Profile — is the page behind the “search result” page. The profile is where you will see the company bio, and video, and specific contact person with phone number

Adding Listing Content/Adding Additional Warehouses

The designated “primary contact” on record with IWLA can modify the record by logging in to the members-only sec-tion of the site and clicking on “Warehouse” under “My Account” in the bottom left-hand navigation area. Your profile should come up and you will notice there are additional fields to populate including: contact name, logo, email, certifi-cations, keywords, and description. Once you hit “Save” your updates will automatically publish on your member profile listing. (Keywords and certifications are not displayed in the profile — they are used on the back end when customers search by that criteria). For your privacy your email address is not added to the profile and customers are encouraged to use the “RFI” button.

Non-primary contacts can add a warehouse listing. But ONLY a “primary contact” can approve additional warehouse and updates/changes to the listings.

PLEASE NOTE: When adding additional warehouses. Please do not list your warehouse company under a sales per-son name. Use your company name. Examples of how to list the warehouse can include:

• Primary Listing: ABC Warehouse• Secondary Listing: ABC Warehouse - Phoenix

Primary Contact Rights vs. Non-primary Contact Rights

A non-primary contact (an employee in an IWLA-member company) can also access the member side of the website. Non-primary contacts can add a warehouse to their company’s listings. This way, managers/leaders at all of your loca-tions can add their warehouse and identify that location’s specific services and offerings. After a non-primary contact adds or updates a listing, the primary contact will receive an email notification requesting him/her to log in and approve/deny these added locations or updates to a current listing in the “Manage Warehouse” area.

Primary Contacts - Manage My Warehouses

Primary Contacts: view/search your facility listings by name, location, keyword.

Primary Contacts: manage warehouses.Primary Contacts: edit/up-

date/approve/deny warehouse facility location.

Verify everything is correct, add certifications, keywords, company bio, contacts and logos.

Primary Contacts:

Approve/deny facilities. This will publish on live site once saved.
