Why the training?SPCE has identified the gap between the basic theoretical knowledge of process equipmentdesignanditsimplementationtothepracticalchallengesfacedbytheworkingprofessionals.Wehavethusmadethisuniquetrainingcoursewhichimpartsthepracticalexperienceofhandlingreallifecomplexitiesofthedesignandanalysisofpressurevessels.The current pressure vessel design techniques have significantly progressed beyond theconventionaldesignby rulemethodsdue toever risingpressureand temperatureprofilesofmodernprocessequipment.ObjectivesTheobjectiveofthistrainingcourseistoaddskillstograspthemultiplexoperatinginterplayofgeometry, material and loading conditions encounteredby present-day pressure vessels. Thecourseemphasisesonstep-by-steplearningofthetechniquestoanalysethedesignforeachoftheoperatingsituationseparately.ThecourseistailoredalongthedirectiveslaidbythecurrenteditionofASMESectionVIIIDivision2andPrEN13445codeswhichheavilybankonadvancednumericalanalysismethodssuchasfiniteelementanalysis(FEA)forensuringsafetyandreliabilityofequipment.ScopeOverallthecoursewillcoverstresslinearizationtechnique,elasticanalysis,limitloadcalculations,elastic-plasticevaluations,protectionagainstbucklingandfatigueassessmentofpressurevesselsand its components. Many advanced calculation procedures such as flange design, vibrationstudy, windandseismic resistingcapacity, supportskirtandsaddledesign, local loadanalysisshallbediscussedwithpracticalexamples.SignificanceThetrainingcoursestressesuponhands-onexperiencebytheparticipantsduringthelearningprocess.Thecourseisinterspersedwithmanyillustrativenumericalexamples,sampleanalysesand processing of results coupled with sufficient theoretical background of the subject. Theparticipants will get opportunity to practice themselves and gain confidence with exercisesmodelledcloselytopracticalscenarios.
